Start with the socket and the protection rating: E27 in 15 W for a living room, bedroom or hallway, G9 in 8 W for a slim corridor wall light, and IP44 for a room exposed to water splashes. The shape comes next, square, round or curved, and decides how the wall looks.
What light does a ceramic wall light give?
Ceramic diffuses a soft light, without glare, and its matte surface does not throw back hard reflections. Placed on either side of a wall, two wall lights illuminate the space without flattening it. The whole selection is LED, in E27 15 W or G9 8 W, for accent lighting or ambient light.
Ceramic wall light: what light on the wall?
The halo depends on the opening. Facing up, it washes the wall and sends indirect light back into the room. Facing down, it casts a clean cone on a console, a worktop or a step. Lepanto spreads the light up and down from a single body, and Calder works with a double output: two ways to get a grazing light where a solid wall light simply lights the space.
LED, E27 or G9: what changes day to day
The whole selection is LED. E27, found on 75% of the models, takes a classic screw bulb: the body of the wall light can therefore be deeper and the shape fuller. G9, on 25% of the models, uses a small pin bulb that requires a slim, low-profile wall light. In both cases, the bulb is replaced cold, without taking the fixture down. Browse the E27 wall lights if you want to keep control of the bulb.
Which rooms suit a ceramic wall light?
The living room is the best-covered room (100% of the selection), ahead of the dining room, the bedroom (92%), the hallway (79%) and the corridor (71%). In a bedroom, a compact format like Prysm, at 11 × 18 × 14.5 cm, or a curved one like Sorlinissa, at 10 × 33 × 10 cm, sits on either side of the bed.
Living room wall lights
Every model suits the living room as well as the dining room. A pair frames a sofa, a console or a bookcase. The Cirena wall light, with its opal globe and fluted base, lights the space without flattening it, while the square Zoraida model, 34 cm wide, fills a bare wall. Browse the models designed for the living room to build your pair.
Adult bedroom wall lights
The bedroom takes most formats, as long as they do not eat into the walkway. Ceramia, a 11 × 25 × 7.5 cm half-moon, and the oval Prysm wall light let the wall breathe. Mounting them on either side of the bed, roughly at shoulder height, keeps the source out of your eyes. The bedroom wall lights gather these compact formats.
Corridor and hallway
On a short wall, the 14 cm cubes, Mirlinella and the Lysara cube wall light with its light slot, fit into little width. In a long corridor, space out two or three light points rather than concentrating on just one. The modern corridor wall lights bring together the models suited to these passageways.
Which format and socket to choose between E27 15 W and G9 8 W?
Two families live side by side: E27, on 75% of the selection in 15 W, and G9, on 25% in 8 W. G9 requires a slimmer wall light, like Kallinora, at 15 × 36 × 4.5 cm, suited to a corridor wall. The 14 cm E27 cube suits a small wall, the 34 to 36 cm version a large panel.
E27 or G9: which socket for a wall light?
The choice comes down to thickness and shape. E27 leaves enough room for a deep, rounded or cubic body, and for a standard shop-bought bulb. G9 is only a few millimetres high, which allows a flat profile close to the wall, but makes handling trickier. If you want a discreet light output in a corridor, G9 is enough. For stronger ambient light, E27 is simpler to live with. The table below sums up the difference.
| Socket | LED power | Share of the selection | Wall light format | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E27 | 15 W | 75% | Deeper body, cubes and full shapes | Living room, bedroom, hallway |
| G9 | 8 W | 25% | Slim wall light, low profile | Corridor, large wall, grazing light |
Which format for a narrow wall or a large surface?
On a narrow wall, stay under 20 cm wide: Prysm, at 15 cm, or the 14 cm cubes fit anywhere. On a large wall, aim for the 30 to 36 cm linear models, more readable from a distance. The table gives the real dimensions and the recommended room for each model.
| Model | Dimensions W × D × H | Socket | Power | Room | Protection |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cirena | 16 × 12 × 12 cm | G9 | 8 W | Living room, bedroom, kitchen | IP44 |
| Mirlinella | 14 × 14 × 14 cm | E27 | 15 W | Corridor, hallway | IP20 |
| Zoraida | 12 × 34 × 10 cm | E27 | 15 W | Hallway, dining room | IP20 |
| Kallinora | 15 × 36 × 4.5 cm | G9 | 8 W | Corridor, large wall | IP20 |
| Prysm | 11 × 18 × 14.5 cm | E27 | 15 W | Bedroom, hallway | IP20 |
| Ceramia | 11 × 25 × 7.5 cm | E27 | 15 W | Living room, bedroom | IP20 |
White, beige or colour: which finish for a ceramic wall light?
White covers 100% of the selection: it is the finish that fades into a pale wall. Then come the occasional colours, grey and black on 13% of the models, beige and green on 8%, with blue, taupe or orange variants on Zoraida and Cirena. No terracotta finish is offered here.
White ceramic wall light
The matte white of the ceramic reflects light without tinting it, which suits the living room, the corridor and the bedroom. It works as well on a painted wall as on plain wallpaper, and pairs with the opal glass of some models. It is the simplest choice if you want the fixture to blend in rather than stand out.
Beige, blue, grey: the occasional colours
Grey and black are found on Lepanto, a round model with up and down lighting that marks a wall without weighing it down. Beige, green, blue, taupe and orange appear on Cirena and the square Zoraida model. Beige is the shade closest to a terracotta feel. The table gives the exact breakdown.
| Colour | Share of the selection | Models concerned |
|---|---|---|
| White | 100% | The whole selection |
| Grey | 13% | Lepanto |
| Black | 13% | Lepanto |
| Beige | 8% | Zoraida, Cirena |
| Green | 8% | Zoraida, Cirena |
IP20 or IP44: which ceramic wall light for a damp room?
In this selection, 96% of the models are IP20: they suit dry rooms. The remaining 4% are IP44, like Cirena, at 16 × 12 × 12 cm, the only reference protected against water splashes. In a bathroom, IP44 is therefore the only suitable choice; in a toilet, IP20 is enough.
Ceramic wall light for the bathroom
The figure that matters is the protection rating, not the material: an IP20 ceramic remains a dry-room wall light, even if the material withstands ambient humidity. So look for an IP44 model and place it out of direct reach of the shower jet. Cirena, with its fluted base and opal glass, meets this condition. Compare the IP44 wall lights and the bathroom lighting before making your choice.
Wall light for a toilet
In a toilet, you usually stay outside the splash zone: IP20 is fine. The toilet wall lights gather the formats that fit a small wall, often the 14 cm cubes or models under 20 cm wide.
How do you install and care for a ceramic wall light?
The wall light is fixed flat against the wall, at shoulder height in a corridor to avoid glare, and on either side of the bed in a bedroom. Clean it with a soft cloth, no abrasives, and change the E27 or G9 LED bulb when cold. The selection is guaranteed for 5 years.
At what height should a wall light be mounted?
There is no single height: it depends on the use. In a corridor, mounting around 1.50 m to 1.70 m from the floor, at shoulder height, lights the passage without sending the source into your eyes. In a bedroom, allow around 1.10 m to 1.30 m above the floor, on either side of the bed. Above a console, line up the bottom of the wall light with the top of the furniture for a clean result.
How do you clean a ceramic wall light?
A soft, slightly damp cloth is enough, followed by a wipe. No abrasive powder, no scouring sponge, no harsh product on the ceramic or the glass. Cut the power before any work, let the bulb cool, then replace it socket by socket: E27 screw, G9 pin. Keep the receipt, the 5-year guarantee applies to the whole selection.
Art deco, art nouveau or vintage wall lights: how do you get close with new pieces?
This collection does not sell antique pieces, but new ceramic and LED wall lights. The Art Deco spirit comes through in the geometric shapes, square on 54% of the models and round on 33%, while the curved or half-moon profiles evoke a softer Art Nouveau line.
Antique art deco wall lights
A period piece is recognisable by its moulded ceramic, its original fittings and its old bulb. Here, everything is new: LED, E27 or G9 socket, 5-year guarantee. What comes close are the clean volumes and the matte white ceramic, as on the Mirlinella cube wall light or the slim Kallinora version. For a more decorative look, the retro wall lights take this idea further.
1930s art deco wall lights and the art nouveau line
The Art Deco vocabulary of the 1930s rests on the square, the circle and controlled asymmetry. Ceramia and Sorlinissa, curved, and Novlineno, softer, give a more fluid line, close to an Art Nouveau spirit. The vintage look then comes from the installation: two symmetrical wall lights on either side of a mirror or a console. And if you are after another material, the design wood wall lights complete the room without breaking the whole.
Which ceramic wall light for a staircase, a hallway or a large wall?
On a staircase, spread two or three slim wall lights along the climb, like Kallinora at 15 × 36 × 4.5 cm or Lunlineno at 15.5 × 31 × 6.5 cm, to follow the passage without cluttering it. On a large hallway wall, a model 30 to 36 cm wide fills the space.
Staircase wall lights
The constraint of a stairwell is the available width: a wall light that sticks out more than 15 cm from the wall catches your shoulder. A profile 4.5 to 6.5 cm thick solves the problem, and grazing light upwards or downwards lights the steps without over-highlighting them. Place one point every three to four steps, on the handrail side. See the design staircase wall lights.
High-end design wall lights
What sets these models apart comes down to a few words: matte ceramic, E27 15 W or G9 8 W LED, white finish across the whole selection, occasional colours on a few references, IP44 option, formats up to 36 cm, 5-year guarantee. The choice therefore comes down to shape and room, not equipment. The slim Kallinora version or the design LED wall light will give you an overview, and the Cirena wall light remains the reference for a damp room.

Frequently asked questions
Living room wall lights: which reference should you choose?
The living room is the best-covered room in the selection. A pair of Cirena (16 × 12 × 12 cm, G9 8 W, IP44) or Calder, with a double E27 15 W output, frames a sofa or a console. Zoraida, 34 cm wide, fills a large wall.
Adult bedroom wall lights: which format on each side of the bed?
92% of the models suit a bedroom. Choose a compact or curved format: Prysm (11 × 18 × 14.5 cm), Ceramia (11 × 25 × 7.5 cm) or Sorlinissa (10 × 33 × 10 cm), in E27 15 W, mounted around 1.10 m to 1.30 m from the floor.
Staircase wall lights: how many and where?
Two or three slim wall lights spread along the climb are enough. Kallinora (15 × 36 × 4.5 cm) and Lunlineno (15.5 × 31 × 6.5 cm), in G9 8 W, stay discreet on a stairwell wall while following the passage.
High-end design wall lights: what sets these models apart?
Matte ceramic, paired with an E27 15 W or G9 8 W LED, a white finish available across the whole selection, formats up to 36 cm wide, an IP44 version and a 5-year guarantee. The choice then comes down to shape and room.
Art deco wall lights: are there any in this collection?
No, these are new pieces, never antique ones. The Art Deco spirit shows in the geometric shapes, square on 54% of the models and round on 33%, as well as in the matte white ceramic. For a softer line, look for the curved profiles.
