Which LED wall light should you choose for each room?

What are the downsides of LED on a wall light?
LED lasts and uses little power, but it locks in two choices: the colour temperature at purchase and, on models with an integrated base, the replacement of the light source. Cool white light is a poor fit for a living room or bedroom. And only some models come with a dimmer.
Which wall light gives good lighting?
It all depends on the surface. For marking out, 8 W in warm white is enough. For a living room, aim for 15 W, or a large base where you choose the bulb.
