Arc wall reading lamp, braided bamboo lampshade Ø 60 cm | Banwa

The Banwa wall-mounted reading lamp extends its large black metal arc to bring light exactly where you are reading—above the sofa, at the head of the bed, or in a reading nook. Its Ø 60 cm woven bamboo lampshade, with its natural and warm texture, diffuses soft light and dresses the wall with a graphic play of shadows. Designed as a true wall reading lamp, it clears your surfaces while signature-styling a bohemian and contemporary atmosphere.

• Large Ø 60 cm woven bamboo lampshade: natural open weave that filters soft light and projects lovely patterns onto the ceiling when lit.
• Black metal arc with adjustable reach (140 to 185 cm): aim the beam over your armchair or bed without placing anything on the floor.
• Cord switch: turn your wall reading lamp on and off from your seat without getting up.
• LED-compatible E27 socket: choose your bulb and its intensity; ideal with a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch.

Installing the wall-mounted reading lamp

Attach the wall bracket of the arched wall reading lamp at the desired height (the plate screws into the wall; drilling and anchors are provided depending on the type of wall), then clip the arc into place and aim it over your reading area. Adjust the arc's reach between 140 and 185 cm to position the lampshade in just the right spot. Screw an E27 bulb under the bamboo shade and connect the cord to a 220-240 V outlet: the inline switch remains within reach. This wall reading lamp is ready for use in minutes, with no ceiling drilling required.

Care

Dust the woven bamboo lampshade with a feather duster or soft brush, following the direction of the weave so as not to separate the strips. The black metal arc and bracket can be wiped clean with a slightly damp microfiber cloth while the lamp is turned off and cool. Avoid abrasive products on the natural bamboo.

What is the difference between a wall-mounted reading lamp and a floor lamp reading light?

The wall-mounted reading lamp attaches to the wall and completely frees up the floor: no base clutters the space near the sofa or bed. Its arc casts light over you like a floor lamp, but without a base on the floor—a precious space-saving solution in a bedroom or small living room.

At what height should this arched wall lamp be installed?

For reading on a sofa, place the bracket 150-170 cm from the floor so that the bamboo lampshade hangs over the seat. At the head of the bed, fix it a little lower, around 130-150 cm, to light the book without glare. The arc's adjustable reach (140-185 cm) then fine-tunes the positioning.

Which bulb should I choose for this bamboo reading lamp?

Opt for an E27 LED bulb of 6 to 9 W in warm white (2700-3000 K). This temperature warms the hue of the woven bamboo and accentuates the play of shadows on the wall. A dimmable bulb combined with a dimmer switch allows you to adjust the ambiance, from soft mood lighting to clear reading light.

Is this designer wall reading lamp suitable for a modern living room?

Yes. With its large black metal arc and woven bamboo lampshade, this designer wall reading lamp brings a natural and graphic touch that blends as well into a bohemian interior as it does a clean, contemporary decor. Placed above a sofa or armchair, it defines a reading nook without weighing down the space.
