Choose a source between 2700 and 3500 K: that is the warm white range, the one that gives a golden light without distorting colours. All the lamps in this collection are warm white, with an E27 bulb on the Soren wall light and an integrated LED on the Stilla pendant, the Kari pendant and the Lapidus outdoor wall light.

Which bulb for a warm light lamp?

A warm light lamp bulb displays a colour temperature of 2700 to 3500 K: the light becomes slightly golden without distorting colours. In this selection, all models are warm white, with an E27 base on the Soren wall light or an integrated LED source on the others. Read the base on the product sheet before ordering.

2700K warm light bulb: the reference to remember

2700 K is the softest shade of warm white, the one for evening and rest. A 2700K warm light bulb remains readable for reading, but it leans frankly towards gold. If you hesitate, 3000 K lights a little more clearly while staying warm: it is the common compromise for a living room or dining room. Beyond 3500 K, you leave warm white for neutral white.

E27 warm light bulb: what each model takes

An E27 base accepts a screw-in bulb, so replaceable: this is the case of the Soren wall light, which lets you choose the power and the shade. The product sheets in this collection do not mention an E14 base: the other models work with integrated LED, non-replaceable. If you are looking for a smaller socket, turn instead to the LED models with no bulb to change. A table lamp to place completes this setup well in a corner of the living room.

What is the difference between warm light and cool light?

The difference lies in the colour temperature, expressed in kelvins. Below 3500 K, the light is warm and golden: it suits the evening and relaxation rooms. Above 4000 K, it becomes neutral then cool, whiter and more stimulating, as in a workshop.

Warm or cool light bulb: how to decide for a living room

Ask the question of the moment rather than that of style. A living room that lives in the evening, a bedroom or a dining room benefit from warm white. A kitchen where you chop and a staircase mainly need well-placed light: warm white remains pleasant there if it comes from the right place. To equip several rooms, start from our range of lights for the whole home and adjust the source room by room.

Orange warm light: why some sources lean towards orange

An orange warm light comes either from a very low kelvin source or from a coloured filter. An orange warm light bulb gives a nightlight atmosphere, not a work light: it is reserved for a relaxation corner. This is also what a salt lamp produces, whose block colours the source placed inside. For a living room, stay on 2700 to 3000 K, more neutral to the eye.

Colour temperature Rendering Recommended room To remember
2700 K Golden warm white Bedroom, bedside, living room in the evening The softest shade
3000 K Balanced warm white Living room, dining room, kitchen Compromise between atmosphere and readability
3500 K Bright warm white Office, staircase, entrance Upper limit of warm white
4000 K and above Neutral then cool white Garage, workshop, worktop Leaves warm white
Orange or red shade Very coloured light Salt lamp, nightlight Atmosphere only, no main lighting

Which warm light lamp for which room?

The living room, bedroom and dining room benefit from warm white, which softens materials. The office, kitchen, staircase and entrance mainly need well-placed light, near the worktop or the circulation. This selection covers these uses with pendants and wall lights, all in warm white.

Floor lamp for living room: lighting without a ceiling light

A floor lamp lights a reading corner without turning on the ceiling light: it is the simplest gesture to create a warm zone in the evening. Look at the height first, then the orientation of the head. The floor lamps for the living room are placed next to the sofa, about a metre from the wall to avoid cast shadow. To stay consistent, keep the same family of shades in the living room lamps for a warm atmosphere.

Bedside lamp: warm light for the evening

At the bedside, the light must come down or diffuse widely, never hit the face. A source between 2700 and 3000 K is enough to read without waking. Find these criteria in the bedside lamps for reading in the evening. In a bedroom, a wall light frees the bedside table: the Soren wall light with linen shade comes in black or white, with two lighting points and a shade 27 cm high for 25 cm deep.

How to choose your warm light lamp according to format and material?

The choice comes down to three measurable criteria: footprint, material and source. A pendant in smoked glass or in a ring lights widely, a wall light in fabric or aluminium lights closely. The format decides the room, the material decides the light rendered.

Warm light lamp in metal, glass, fabric or aluminium

Metal and aluminium reflect a clear light, with marked reflections: perfect above a table or in a staircase. Smoked glass softens and diffuses in patches, while a fabric shade filters the light and makes it more enveloping. For a clear rendering, look at the metal lamps for a clear rendering. On the wall side, the wall lights and wall lamps light without coming down from the ceiling. A black lamp, discreet during the day, disappears into the decor; its light version goes unnoticed in a bright room, like the brighter white versions.

Integrated LED or E27 bulb: what daily maintenance

On a model with integrated LED, no bulb needs changing: the Stilla pendant, the Kari ring pendant and the Lapidus outdoor wall light work this way. On the Soren wall light, however, the bulb is replaceable: you change the shade without changing the light. In both cases, cleaning is done dry and with the power off. The warranty is two years on the whole selection.

The formats in the collection read in three lines: size, base and protection rating.

Model Type Material Base Protection rating Rooms Highlights
Stilla Cluster pendant Glass and metal Integrated LED IP20 Staircase, living room, dining room, kitchen, office Ø 40 cm, adjustable height up to 390 cm, 6 W and 30 W, black or grey
Kari Ring pendant Brushed aluminium and plastic Integrated LED IP20 Living room, dining room, kitchen, office, staircase Ø 48 cm, max height 160 cm, white diffuser, 40 W, white
Soren Double lighting wall light Fabric and metal E27 IP20 Bedroom, living room, hallway, staircase, entrance, toilet Linen shade, H 27 cm, D 25 cm, 40 W, black or white
Lapidus Cylindrical wall light Aluminium Integrated LED IP54 Outdoor, terrace, entrance, bedroom, living room, hallway H 10 cm, 6 W, black, protected against water spray

Designer bedside lamp: how to choose for a cosy bedroom?

For a bedside lamp, look at the height of the shade, the depth in relation to the bedside table and the direction of the light. A fabric shade diffuses softly, a model with integrated LED source gives a regular warm white, with no bulb to change.

Original or discreet bedside lamp: deciding according to the decor

A very sober room supports an original bedside lamp, with round, arched or ring shapes. An already busy bedroom prefers a fine, almost erased silhouette. The Stilla pendant, with its cluster of smoked glass drops, plays presence; the Kari, a brushed aluminium ring, plays line. For a bedside in a current style, compare the bedside lamps in a current style and the pieces with a worked design.

Italian design table lamp: recognising this style

This style reads in the silhouette: simple lines, fine proportions, worked materials such as fabric, metal or glass, very diffuse light. No product sheet in this selection mentions a manufacturing origin: judge on the shape, the material and the rendering of the warm white. A well-proportioned table lamp does the job. As a complement, browse the LED bedside lamps to avoid any bulb change.

How to recognise a real salt lamp?

A real salt lamp is cut from a translucent block: veins, nuances and density vary from one point to another, and the light passes through it unevenly. A resin imitation is uniform, often lighter, with a flat shade and too-sharp edges. Weight and irregularity are the two most reliable clues.

Red light salt lamp: why this orange shade

A salt lamp diffuses an orange to red light because the block colours the source placed inside. The shade varies according to the density of the salt and the power of the bulb. It is an atmosphere light: it does not replace the main lighting of a room. To really light, keep a lamp from the shop in warm white next to it.

Salt lamp: precautions and maintenance

The point of vigilance is twofold: the heat given off by the bulb and the humidity of the room, which can make the block seep. Place the lamp on a stable surface, keep it away from fabrics and respect the power recommended by the manufacturer. A dry wipe is enough; avoid very damp rooms. A correctly used salt lamp presents no particular danger.

How to connect several lamps on a single electrical supply?

Several lamps can run from the same point if the cumulative power remains compatible with the circuit and its protection. The clearest is a junction box with connection terminals for fixed lights, or a switched socket for plug-in lamps. If in doubt, have the diagram validated by an electrician.

Plug-in lamps or fixed lights: two logics

A plug-in lamp plugs into a socket, possibly controlled by a switch or a wireless control: it is the flexible solution for a living room that changes often. A fixed light, such as the Stilla smoked glass pendant, connects to the mains via an accessible and marked box. Do not mix the two logics on the same spur without a clear marker.

Distributing light points without overloading the circuit

Count the powers indicated on the product sheets, add them up, and keep a margin under the circuit limit. Then distribute the light points by use: one point for the room, one for the worktop, one for the extra. A well-oriented desk lamp can stay on a dedicated socket, which lightens the ceiling circuit.

How to install and maintain a warm light lamp?

Installation depends on the type: a pendant is adjusted in height according to the volume of the room, a wall light is fixed at shoulder height or at the head of the bed. Maintenance is limited to a dry cloth; models with integrated LED require no bulb replacement.

IP20 or IP54: indoor, damp room or outdoor

IP20 covers the majority of dry rooms: living room, bedroom, office, staircase. IP54 adds protection against water spray, which allows outdoor installation, under a terrace or near an entrance, like the Lapidus IP54 outdoor wall light. In a bathroom, keep any lamp away from direct spray zones. For a bedroom, a lamp that lights the bedroom gently is satisfied with IP20.

Fixing height and cleaning materials

A pendant above a table is generally placed between 75 and 90 cm from the tabletop, depending on the size of the room. A wall light at the head of the bed is fixed around 1.10 to 1.30 m from the floor. Glass is cleaned dry or slightly damp, brushed aluminium in the direction of the brush, fabric with a soft vacuum. These gestures are enough to keep a regular warm white.

Frequently asked questions about the warm light lamp

How to recognise a real salt lamp?

A real salt lamp is cut from a translucent block: veins, nuances and density change from one point to another, the light passes through it irregularly. A resin imitation is uniform, often lighter, with a flat shade and sharp edges. Weight and irregularity remain the best clues.

Does a salt lamp always give a red light?

It diffuses an orange to red light, because the block colours the source placed inside. The shade varies according to the density of the salt and the power of the bulb. It is an atmosphere light, which hardly replaces a main lighting.

Is a salt lamp dangerous?

Correctly used, no. The points of vigilance are the heat given off by the bulb and the humidity of the room, which can make the block seep. Place it on a stable surface, keep it away from fabrics and follow the power recommended by the manufacturer.

Which floor lamp for the living room?

A floor lamp lights a reading corner or a sofa without touching the ceiling light: you mainly choose the height, the orientation of the head and the material of the shade. To stay in warm white, prefer a source between 2700 and 3000 K and a downward diffusion.

This style is recognised by the silhouette: simple lines, fine proportions, worked materials such as fabric, metal or glass, and a very diffuse light. The product sheets in this selection do not mention any manufacturing origin; judge on the shape, the material and the rendering of the warm white.
