Alinea, the furniture and home decor brand born in Aubagne in 1989, has closed. The Marseille commercial court ordered its liquidation on 31 March 2026: its 36 stores have shut their doors. If you were looking at Alinea for a pendant light, a table lamp or a wall light, here is where to find the same family of lighting, at a shop specialising in light.
Designix has no connection with Alinea or its former owners. We do not sell furniture: only lighting, sorted by type, by room and by style.
What Alinea offered in lighting
Like any furniture brand, Alinea sold lighting alongside furniture and decor: mostly pendant lights, table lamps and floor lamps, in a simple, warm style, often in wood, linen, rattan or pale metal. These are exactly the searches, "alinea lamp" and "alinea pendant light", that have risen sharply since the closure.
Find each family at Designix
- Pendant lights: for the living room, kitchen or above a table, see all our pendant lights, and the models in rattan or wood.
- Table lamps: on a console or sideboard, our table lamps; by the bed, our bedside lamps.
- Floor lamps: for ambient light in a living room, our living room floor lamps.
- Wall lights: on either side of a sofa or bed, our wall lights.
- Ceiling lights: for a hallway, corridor or bedroom, our ceiling lights.
The "Alinea" style: natural, simple, warm
To recapture the spirit of the lights once found at Alinea, three leads: natural materials (rattan, bamboo, linen, pale wood), the clean lines of Scandinavian lighting, and a warm light, around 2,700 K, that makes a room welcoming in the evening.
Choosing your light in three questions
- Which room? Start from the room to be lit: living room, bedroom, kitchen or dining room.
- What size? Above a table, a pendant light usually hangs between 60 and 75 cm from the surface; its diameter is chosen according to the width of the table.
- Which bulb? Each product page states the fitting (E27, E14, GU10…) and whether the LED is integrated.
