Allow for a format suited to the room's volume: a 90 to 120 cm bar for a large living room or a long table, a 38 cm round for central light, a 10 to 12 cm square for a hallway or corridor. The whole selection is in wood, rated IP20, with E27, GU10 or G9 sockets and brown, white, grey, green or beige finishes.
What are the advantages of wood ceiling lights?
Wood softens the light and pairs with metal, glass or a white ceiling. These wood ceiling lights come as bars, rounds or squares, with one or more adjustable spots, in E27, GU10 or G9 sockets. The whole selection is rated IP20, so reserved for dry rooms.
Natural wood ceiling light
Natural wood keeps its grain visible and warms a room with pale walls, often cold under a single white source. It sits effortlessly with black or grey metal on the bars, and with a white ceiling that bounces the light back. It is the material of our entire wood ceiling light range, from the small square to the long rail.
Wood and white ceiling light
The white versions play on soft contrast: wood brings warmth, white lightens the silhouette and blends into a painted ceiling. They suit Nordic or minimalist interiors, where a discreet fixture that does not catch the eye is wanted. See the white ceiling lights if your room is already very woody.
Which wood ceiling light should you choose for the living room?
In the living room, favour a format that fills the volume: a 90 to 120 cm bar for a long room, a 38 cm round model for central light. Adjustable spots in E27 sockets let you aim the beam at a wall, a bookshelf or a reading corner.
LED living room ceiling light
A bar with several light points avoids the shadow zone in the middle of the sofa: each spot is adjusted independently towards the wall or the floor. The 38 cm grey round ceiling light, the 38 cm grey round ceiling light, gives a central light in an E27 socket, to be completed with a wall light or a floor lamp depending on the surface. Find other setups in the living room ceiling lights.
Scandinavian wood ceiling light
The Nordic style is recognisable by its simple lines, slim tubes and pale woods, with no ornament. A short bar or a single square is then enough, especially if the ceiling is low. The WOODY 3 in natural wood, a 36 by 12 cm rectangle, plays that role in a living room as well as a dining room.
How do you light a kitchen and dining room with a wood ceiling light?
In the kitchen, a ceiling light with three or four adjustable E27 spots lights the worktop without casting shadow on it. Above a table, a 45 to 120 cm wood bar with GU10 spots spreads the light along the top, including over a raw wood table served without a cloth.
On-trend kitchen ceiling light
Three or four spots aimed at the worktop are better than a single source in the middle of the room, which leaves the user in their own shadow. The four adjustable spot model combines wood and metal and is adjusted after installation. To go further on this volume, see the kitchen lighting.
What light above a wood table without a cloth?
Raw wood reflects little and absorbs light: several spread points are better than a single one above the centre. A bar with 10 W GU10 spots covers a long table, from one end to the other, and is aimed at the plate rather than the eyes. The 120 cm BERG 6 bar meets that need, like the other dining room ceiling lights.
Original ceiling light: which shapes and style in wood?
The selection covers round, tube, ball, dome and more graphic shapes. A 38 cm round structures a square room, a long bar suits large tables, a small 10 to 12 cm square sits alone in a hallway or in a row in a corridor.
Original ceiling light
Graphic shapes, tube or ball, stand out without lighting harder: they mainly change the silhouette on the ceiling. Best kept for rooms where the fixture stays visible, hallway, corridor, stairwell. The contemporary ceiling lights gather these more drawn lines, to pair with ceiling fixtures from the same family.
Round, tube or dome wood ceiling light
Round suits square rooms, where it occupies the centre without stretching the perspective. The tube and the bar work long rooms, a narrow corridor or a table for six. The dome concentrates light downwards and suits a dining corner or a desk. See the round ceiling lights for this type of volume.
Wood and metal, wood and glass: which material for a wood ceiling light?
Wood features on every model, alone or paired with metal, more rarely with glass. Metal goes with the adjustable spots and the bars, glass dresses the small formats. The finishes listed are brown, white, grey, green and beige.
Wood and black ceiling light
Black is not a finish in this selection: the contrast comes from the black or grey metal around the spots and bars, mounted on a wood support. If you are after a clear dark dominant, turn to the black ceiling lights or the metal versions, where the colour carries the whole silhouette.
Wood and white ceiling light
On the large round formats, the white version gives a lighter fixture on the ceiling, with the wood kept on the outer ring. On the small formats, white glass diffuses a softer, less direct light, useful in a corridor. The SOLIS in wood and glass at 12 cm illustrates this mix.
Which socket and wattage should you choose for a wood ceiling light?
Three sockets dominate: E27 on the adjustable spots and large bars, GU10 on the rails with several light points, G9 on the small formats. On wattage, check the power stated on the model's page.
LED wood ceiling light
The number of light points matters more than the wattage of a single bulb: four well-aimed 8 or 10 W spots light a kitchen better than a single source. Product pages state socket, wattage and dimensions, to check before ordering. Compare the LED ceiling lights and their bulb equivalents for your use.
E27 or GU10 bulb: which to choose?
The E27 socket takes a standard screw-in bulb, adjustable on spot models, and lets you choose the colour temperature. GU10 serves rails with several light points, with compact bulbs interchangeable one by one. G9 equips the small formats, like these minimalist format models.
| Model | Format | Socket | Stated wattage | Rooms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BERG 6 | 120 cm bar | GU10 | 10 W | Dining room, kitchen, living room |
| BERG 4 | 80 cm bar | GU10 | 10 W | Dining room, bedroom, hallway |
| WOODY 3 | 36 x 12 cm rectangle | GU10 | 10 W | Living room, bedroom, kitchen |
| QUAD | 10 x 10 cm square | GU10 | 10 W | Hallway, corridor, kitchen |
| SOLIS | Ø 12 cm, H 19 cm | G9 | 8 W | Corridor, hallway, bedroom |
| Gearwood 3063 | Ø 38 cm | E27 | 40 W | Living room, bedroom, dining room |
LED wood ceiling light or interchangeable bulbs?
An integrated LED model is installed once and uses little power, often 8 or 10 W with a warm white light. The E27, GU10 or G9 socket versions take bulbs you can replace, aim the beam and let you choose the colour temperature, from warm white to cool white.
Modern LED ceiling light
Integrated LED imposes its colour temperature at installation: if you want a warm white in the evening and a more neutral white for working, it will not allow it. In return, it needs no bulb care. See the modern ceiling lights for the most understated silhouettes.
Powerful LED ceiling light
The stated wattage tells you about consumption, not visual comfort: spreading the light is better than raising the watts on a single source. A model with several adjustable spots makes the room more readable than a single high-power block. If you want to lower the intensity in the evening, aim for a model stated as dimmer-compatible, like some dimmable ceiling lights.
How do you install and care for a wood ceiling light?
All the models in the selection are rated IP20: they go in dry rooms, not above a shower. Mounting is on the ceiling on the supplied fixing, the adjustable spots are set once in place. For care, dusting and a soft cloth are enough on the wood.
Can you fit a wood ceiling light in a bathroom?
With an IP20 rating, the fixture is not protected against water splashes: it stays outside the shower or bath volume. For those areas, you need a model with a higher protection rating, to look for among the bathroom ceiling lights designed for damp.
How do you clean a wood ceiling light?
A soft cloth or a duster is enough, with no abrasive product, no stripper and no varnish: the finish is applied in the workshop and does not need redoing. Cut the power at the breaker before any work on the spots or the bulb. The spots are then adjusted by hand, with the fixture off.
Wood ceiling light for bedroom, corridor and hallway: which format?
In a bedroom or a corridor, a discreet light is wanted: the small 10 to 12 cm squares and the 12 cm wood and glass model fit anywhere. A short 30 to 45 cm bar suits a bedroom, a longer rail the large through rooms.
Which wood ceiling light for a bedroom?
A light installed in the centre, facing the bed, dazzles when lying down: spots aimed at the walls or a moderate intensity are better. The short 30 cm BERG 2 bar and the small QUAD square sit without cluttering the ceiling. Browse the models designed for the bedroom to compare formats.
And for a corridor or a hallway?
In a narrow volume, a single 10 cm square is enough, and several in a row light a long corridor without creating dark holes. The small wood and glass format diffuses a softer light, appreciated near a door. See the corridor ceiling lights and the office ceiling lights if you are after light aimed at a worktop.
| Room | Lighting need | Format to favour | Socket |
|---|---|---|---|
| Living room | Central lighting and reading corner | 90 to 120 cm bar or Ø 38 cm round | E27 or GU10 |
| Kitchen | Worktop and dining corner | Three or four adjustable spots | E27 |
| Dining room | Light spread along the table | 45 to 120 cm bar | GU10 |
| Bedroom | Soft, low-glare light | Short bar or small square | GU10 or G9 |
| Corridor and hallway | Narrow volumes | 10 to 12 cm square or round | GU10 or G9 |
| Office | Light aimed at the worktop | Adjustable spot | E27 |
Once the format is chosen, compare the colour temperature stated on the page: a warm white around 2700 to 3500 K suits a bedroom or a dining corner, a cooler light a workspace. Our entire range of light fixtures can be ordered online.

Frequently asked questions
Which ceiling light lights best?
A ceiling light with several adjustable spots lights better than a single-source model, because the light is aimed at the useful areas. In an E27 socket, the stated wattage goes up to 40 W; in GU10 or G9, the models are given at 8 or 10 W. The IP20 rating requires dry rooms.
Which light colour should you choose for a wood ceiling light?
Three temperatures exist in the selection: warm white from 2700 to 3500 K, neutral white from 3500 to 4500 K and cool white from 4500 to 6500 K. Warm white suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining corners, a cooler light workspaces.
Should you choose a dimmer-compatible wood ceiling light?
Only a small part of the selection is stated as dimmer-compatible. If you want to lower the light in the evening, check that mention on the model's page and pair it with a dimmable bulb suited to the E27, GU10 or G9 socket concerned.
How many light points to light a room?
From one to six light points depending on the models: the small 10 to 12 cm wood squares suit a corridor, the rails with three or four spots light a kitchen or a large table, the 80 to 120 cm bars cover a room lengthwise.
What warranty is offered on wood ceiling lights?
The warranty varies by model. The exact duration is on the product page, next to the material, socket and dimensions. Check it before ordering if the installation is exposed. This collection does not offer a wicker or rattan ceiling light; find those woven materials in other ranges in the shop.
