How to install and adjust the height of a chandelier?
Most of our chandeliers offer an adjustable height to fit your ceiling and your room. Turn off the power, attach the bracket to the ceiling, connect the wires according to the markings, then adjust the suspension length. If in doubt about the wiring, call a qualified electrician.
To adjust the length, some models use a textile cable where the excess is folded into the ceiling cup. Others feature a lifting mechanism that adjusts the height without tools, like Pivéa. Always check the load capacity of the support and the diameter of the ceiling rose before attaching the assembly.
The ideal height depends on the room. Above a dining table, the bottom of the chandelier is generally placed about 70 to 80 cm above the tabletop. In a hallway or entryway, the bottom of the chandelier must remain more than 2m from the floor to ensure free passage.
