First choose the room, then the protection rating: IP20 for a hallway or a living room, IP54 for a bathroom or a covered terrace. Hell is a German brand of LED lighting, and this collection brings together its wall lights in iron, aluminium and acrylic, in warm white for the vast majority of models.
What is the Hell brand and what does its range include?
Hell is a German brand of LED lighting. At Designix, its range covers pendant lights, table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling lights, outdoor lights and wall lights. The LED is integrated on almost all references, the brightness is dimmable on most models and some accept a remote control.
What does the Hell range offered by Designix include?
Pendant lights form the largest family of the brand. Then come table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling lights and outdoor lights. Wall lights come in several formats, from the 40 cm long module to the small 10 cm round. Cross them with the lighting collection to furnish an entire room.
Why is Hell a high-end brand?
The positioning comes down to the materials, iron, aluminium, acrylic and glass, and to the integrated LED that saves you buying bulbs. The finishes are well executed and the formats are built to last. If you are looking for other brands, browse all our lighting.
What materials and finishes are found in Hell lighting?
Hell lights mainly combine iron, aluminium and acrylic, with glass too and, occasionally, brass. The most common finishes are black, silver, white and beige. Iron provides the structure, aluminium the lightness, acrylic diffuses the light without glare.
Iron, aluminium or acrylic: which material for which room?
Iron and aluminium form the body of the wall light: slim silhouette, matte look, good durability. Acrylic serves as a diffuser and softens the beam, useful in a hallway where you do not want glare. Brass, rarer, warms up the shade. These materials can be found in the lighting section.
Which finish to choose: black, silver, white or beige?
On a light wall, a black or silver wall light stands out and becomes a visual anchor, like the black Box wall light. The shade matters less than the contrast achieved. On an already dark wall, a white or beige finish blends into the decor, like the white version of the Box wall light. Beige and anthracite complete the palette, visible in our lighting section.
What light do Hell lights give?
Hell lights are mostly fitted with an integrated LED in warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, the natural light of an interior in the evening. A few references offer a cool white of 4500 to 6500 K. On a large share of models, the brightness is dimmable, sometimes with a remote control.
Warm white or cool white: what to choose for an interior?
A living room, a bedroom or a hallway read better in warm white: the light is soft and less tiring for the eyes at the end of the day. Cool white, whiter, suits a worktop, a workshop or a garage. The temperature is not identical from one model to another. To broaden your search, see our selection of lighting.
What is the use of dimmable brightness in daily life?
A dimmer lets you light brightly to move around, then lower it for a dinner or reading. Nearly one in two models accepts a dimmer, including the black Delta wall light. Some references come with a remote control. Other options appear in Designix lighting.
How to choose your Hell wall light according to the room?
In a hallway, a linear wall light like the Box lights a passage without taking up the wall. In a damp room or under a covered terrace, you need an IP54 reference like the Delta-B. In the living room, a 30 cm round Delta in warm white and dimmable also works as ambient lighting.
Which wall light for a hallway or a staircase?
The Box measures 40 cm long by 9 cm high: it covers a stretch of wall and lights a passage evenly. Its 5 cm depth lets you move around in a narrow hallway. On a staircase, allow one wall light per landing. The beige version works if you prefer the light to fade away.
Which wall light for a bathroom or a covered terrace?
The Delta-B has an IP54 rating and is installed where the air is damp: bathroom, laundry room, sheltered terrace. It comes in black, white and beige, measures 30 cm long by 4 cm high and accepts a dimmer. See the white Delta-B with IP54. Other formats are listed in the complete lighting range.
| Room or use | Model to favour | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Hallway, stairwell | Box 40 cm | Long linear format, warm white, IP20 for a dry interior |
| Living room, bedroom | Round Delta 30 cm | Warm white lighting, dimmable brightness |
| Bathroom, laundry room, covered terrace | Delta-B | IP54 rating against dust and water splashes |
| Small wall, accent lighting | Mona or Shelly | Compact round formats, G9 socket or integrated LED |
| Wall to highlight | Box or Delta in black or silver | Slim silhouette that stands out from the wall |
Box, Delta or Mona: which Hell wall light to choose?
The Box measures 40 cm long by 9 cm high, the round Delta is 30 cm in diameter, the linear Deltas 30 cm long, the Delta-B 30 cm, the Mona 10 cm in diameter and 19 cm high, the Shelly 16 cm. A large wall calls for a long format, a small wall for a round and compact model.
Which size of wall light for which wall?
Allow about a third of the wall width for a long format, without exceeding half. On a 60 cm wall, a 40 cm Box will take up a lot of space: prefer the small Shelly wall light, round and 16 cm wide. For a wall to highlight, the 30 cm silver Delta draws a clean disc.
Round or linear wall light: what effect?
The round one diffuses from a single point and marks an axis, at the top of a staircase or on either side of a mirror. The linear one spreads the light along the wall and suits circulation areas. The Mona, round and 19 cm high, is mounted with a G9 socket: the Mona wall light with G9 socket accepts the bulb you choose. Other lengths can be seen in the entire lighting collection.

IP20 or IP54: which protection rating to choose?
IP20 concerns dry rooms: living room, bedroom, hallway. IP54 adds protection against dust and water splashes, useful in a bathroom, a laundry room or under a covered terrace. The Delta-B is the IP54 reference of this collection. Check the rating before fixing the light.
What does the IP rating mean on a wall light?
This rating describes the resistance of the light to dust and water. In practice, IP20 means dry interior, with no contact with moisture. IP54 signals a model that withstands dust and splashes, but not immersion or a powerful jet. The right reflex: read the product sheet before drilling.
Can a Hell light be installed outdoors?
Under a covered terrace, yes: an IP54 wall light like the black Delta-B wall light withstands moisture and splashes. For a facade exposed to rain, it is better to turn to the outdoor lights of the Hell brand, designed for that. Other models appear in the lighting catalogue.
How to install and maintain a Hell light?
Hell lights are fixed to the wall and powered by electricity: cut the power before any work. The LED is integrated on almost all models and cannot be replaced; a few references with a G9 or E27 socket accept a bulb. Clean with a soft cloth, without abrasive products.
Can you replace the bulb of a Hell light?
On most wall lights, the LED is integrated: at the end of its life, the light itself is replaced. The exceptions are models with a socket, like the Mona in G9 or certain references in E27. The socket is indicated on the product sheet, to check before purchase. See wall lights and lighting to compare.
How to clean an aluminium and acrylic wall light?
A soft, slightly damp cloth is enough on aluminium as well as acrylic. Avoid abrasive products, alcohol and scouring pads: they dull the metal and scratch the diffuser. Cut the power before handling the wall light and never open the LED housing, it is not designed to be dismantled.
What does Designix offer on the Hell range?
Designix selects the Hell range and supports it: secure payment, tracked delivery, returns and customer service. The team helps you choose between a Box, a Delta or a Delta-B according to the room, the wall finish and the protection rating, then to harmonise several lights in the same room.
Why go through Designix for a Hell light?
Payment is secure, delivery is tracked and returns remain possible if the format does not suit the wall. Customer service answers on dimensions, socket and protection rating before the order, which avoids drilling for nothing. Also compare the entire lighting range.
How to harmonise several Hell lights in one room?
Keep the same family and the same finish on one wall: several black Boxes in a hallway are better than a mix of shades. The colour temperature should stay in warm white from one room to another. You can play with formats, like a white Delta in the living room. A anthracite Delta works well on a light painted wall.
Prepare your wall measurements before ordering, then have the model confirmed: one call to Designix customer service is enough, and tracked delivery lets you check the shade on receipt.
Frequently asked questions about Hell lighting

Which Hell wall light to choose for a bathroom?
The Delta-B is the suitable reference: its IP54 rating protects it from dust and water splashes. It comes in black, white and beige, measures 30 cm long by 4 cm high, lights in warm white and accepts a dimmer. For a dry room, a Box or a Delta in IP20 is enough.
Which wall light for a hallway or a staircase?
The Box, 40 cm long by 9 cm high, lights a passage evenly in warm white without taking up the wall. It comes in black, white, beige, red, green and silver, enough to match the wall light to the wall shade or to make it stand out as an anchor point.
What is the colour temperature of Hell lights?
The vast majority of models light in warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, the light that suits living rooms in the evening. A few references offer a cool white of 4500 to 6500 K. Check this point before choosing, depending on whether the room calls for ambience or task lighting.
Can you replace the bulb of a Hell wall light?
On almost all references, the LED is integrated and cannot be replaced: the complete light is changed at the end of its life. A few models with a G9 or E27 socket, like the Mona, accept a bulb that you choose yourself. The socket is indicated on each product sheet.
