KOBAN B is a minimalist pendant lamp with a distinctive yet discreet shape. Its character is defined by a single spherical shade made of white opal glass, the 20 cm diameter of which makes it the focal point of the composition. The matte glass gently diffuses the light, bringing a soft, uniform glow to the interior. The simple structure and metal ceiling rose highlight the luminaire's functional and clean aesthetic, which integrates perfectly into modern, Japandi, or loft styles.
Although KOBAN B stands out for its characteristic shape, it does not dominate the layout: on the contrary, it complements it harmoniously, giving the interior a calm rhythm and a luminous lightness.
Imagine an indoor elliptical cycling track, on which glass balls zip along in place of bikes. Now imagine two small child's hands, intrigued by all this activity on the track. Suddenly one ball disappears, another stops, another appears, but in a different size. Lots of fun, laughter, ideas, and possibilities. It is this children's game that inspired us to create the Koban pendant series.
In the design of KOBAN B, this youthful energy has been translated into the language of light: the metal structure and glass receive a new narrative here, full of order on one hand, and bold in its simplicity on the other. The pendant catches the eye with its elliptical composition and spherical shade, bringing not only light to the space, but also a touch of inner freedom. Because when decorating a living space, it is worth listening to the voice of your inner child.
Components and features of the pendant lamp
The pendant is equipped with a 100 cm long black polyester braided cable and a round metal ceiling rose. Its total height is 150 cm, and the luminaire itself measures 40 cm in length and 28 cm in width. The shade is made of white glass, with a diameter of 20 cm. Inside is a socket for an E27 light source (LED, 15 W maximum), which allows the user to choose the intensity and color temperature according to the needs of the space.
Usage and IP20 / IP44 protection rating
KOBAN B is available in two protection versions: standard IP20, intended for dry and sheltered areas, and IP44, which also allows for installation in areas with higher humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. The pendant is therefore suitable for domestic living spaces (above a table, a work surface, or in a bedroom) as well as for more demanding lighting conditions.
KOBAN B is part of the extensive Koban collection, which also includes other lighting variants: the KOBAN D and E wall lamps, as well as two other pendants, KOBAN A and KOBAN C, and a KOBAN ST table model. Together, they form a complete and aesthetically coherent ensemble, allowing the entire interior to be illuminated in a uniform style, from functional light points to decorative and atmospheric accents.
