This modern black ceiling light with a round white diffuser lights a living room, bedroom or hallway of 8 to 16 m²: 20 W LED, 1600 lumens, surface mounting and black finish with white diffuser. It joins our selection of LED ceiling lights, where the integrated source replaces the bulb.
What light does a black ceiling light give on the ceiling?
The LED module diffuses through a white diffuser, which gives an even light and no visible bulb. The black housing leaves a soft halo around its edge and covers the general lighting of a room of 8 to 16 m².
- 20 W LED and 1600 lumens for general lighting
- White diffuser: even light, no hot spot
- No dimmer mentioned on this reference
- A living room LED ceiling light often needs only one central point
Where to install a round black ceiling light in the home?
Like the other black lights, it is intended for the living room, bedroom, office, hallway, entrance or toilet. A modern LED living room ceiling light like this one remains reserved for dry rooms: IP20 is not suitable for a bathroom exposed to splashes.
- Central lighting of the living room, like the living room ceiling lights
- Bedroom or office: same use, see the bedroom ceiling lights
- Hallway and entrance: the black round blends into the ceiling
- Toilet possible, bathroom to avoid in IP20
How to know if this ceiling light suits the size of the room?
Its size makes it suited to a medium room rather than a large living room. A modern living room ceiling light like this one is enough for a single light point; for a stronger effect, see the Industrial ceiling light with curved luminous arms, round shape.
- Ø28 cm and 6 cm high, discreet under a low ceiling
- 8 to 16 m² in general lighting
- Integrated LED source, no bulb needed
- Large living room: better to multiply the light points
How to fix and maintain a surface-mounted ceiling light?
Surface mounting screws to the ceiling without cutting, and the 6 cm of height give room to work. Maintenance is limited to a soft, dry cloth; a more ornate model like the Gold ceiling light with interwoven rings and LED lighting requires more attention.
- Surface mounting, without recessing into the ceiling
- Switch off the power before any work
- Dry dusting, without abrasive product
- Installation: installing a surface-mounted ceiling light, step by step
