Paul Neuhaus is a German lighting manufacturer, part of the Neuhaus Lighting group. At Designix, the brand covers ceiling lights, pendants, wall lights and table lamps, often with integrated LED, in contemporary and modern styles.

Who is Paul Neuhaus and what is in the range?

A wall light brightens a hallway without taking up floor space, a ceiling light spreads widely in a living room: the Paul Neuhaus selection at Designix covers both. It brings together ceiling lights, pendants, wall lights and table lamps from a German manufacturer, most with integrated LED.

Paul Neuhaus, German lighting manufacturer

Paul Neuhaus is a German lighting manufacturer, part of the Neuhaus Lighting group. Its range at Designix stands out for simple lines, plenty of metal and controlled finishes: anthracite, silver, gold, black, grey, beige or white. Contemporary and modern styles dominate, with a few minimalist pieces and one industrial wall light that stands apart. The look stays understated and lets the furniture speak.

Ceiling lights, pendants, wall lights and table lamps

Four families shape the offer. Ceiling lights suit low ceilings and corridors, pendants suit high ceilings and spaces above a surface, wall lights suit walls and staircases, table lamps suit a reading corner. The Puntua wall lights, cordless, come in 18 cm and 25 cm, in matt brass, chrome, aluminium, wood or grey. To compare the families, browse all lighting families.

A starting point: most references run on integrated LED, the rest take an E27, E14 or G9 bulb. This point decides everything else. Each product page in our lighting catalogue gives the material, socket, real dimensions and protection rating, so you can decide without leaving home.

Which Paul Neuhaus light to choose for each room?

Start from the room, not the model. A well-placed Paul Neuhaus light brightens a passage without cluttering it, or spreads widely above a table: use decides, style comes after.

A ceiling light or pendant for the living room

In a living room or above a dining table, the light must cover a wide area. A pendant adds volume, a ceiling light stays understated. The Accor pendant, five cylindrical lights in silver metal, measures 120 cm long and sits above a large table: see the Accor five-light pendant.

Lighting a corridor, hallway or staircase

In a corridor or hallway, a wall light frees the floor and stays in view without glare. The Acri square wall light, 20 x 20 cm with a crystal edge, switches between warm white and cool white. For a metal cage with a workshop feel, look at the Alami metal cage wall light, fitted with an E27 socket.

Bedroom: which light for the evening

The bedroom needs low, warm light on both sides of the bed. A cordless wall light avoids running extra wiring: the round Puntua in matt brass or its oval chrome version. Both are dimmable.

Which type of Paul Neuhaus light for each room
Room Type of light Light temperature Protection rating Example from the selection
Living room, dining room Pendant or ceiling light Warm white 2700-3500 K IP20 Accor five-light pendant
Bedroom Wall light or ceiling light Warm white 2700-3500 K IP20 Puntua cordless wall light
Hallway, corridor Wall light Warm white 2700-3500 K IP20 Acri or Alami wall light
Staircase Wall light or LED panel Warm white 2700-3500 K IP20 Beroa rectangular panel
Bathroom IP54 water-resistant light Warm white 2700-3500 K IP54 Block anthracite light
Terrace, outdoors Up and down light Warm white 2700-3500 K IP54 Block grey or Block anthracite glass

Integrated LED or an E27, E14 or G9 bulb?

Integrated LED fixes the original light, nothing to change later, and that applies to a large part of the selection. An E27, E14 or G9 socket, on the other hand, lets you choose the bulb, and therefore the temperature and brightness, room by room.

When integrated LED avoids any replacement

A light with integrated LED has no bulb to replace: the light is set from the start, usually warm white. This applies to the Acri square wall light and to the Beroa rectangular LED panel wall light, 60 cm long, which also offers cool white.

When an E27, E14 or G9 socket leaves the choice

With a socket, you choose the bulb for the room: warmer in a living room, more neutral in a corridor. The maximum wattage is stated on each product page, model by model. The Accor pendant runs on E14, the Alami wall light on E27. To find these models, browse the lighting collection.

Technology, socket and dimmer by model
Technology Socket Bulb to replace Dimmer What it changes
Integrated LED (majority) LED No On some models Light set from the start, usually warm white
Screw bulb E27 Yes Depending on model Maximum wattage stated on the product page
Small screw socket E14 Yes Depending on model Suits slim pendants with several lights
Small compact socket G9 Yes Depending on model Compact light points

Which light temperature and dimmer for each room?

For a living room, bedroom, corridor or hallway, aim for warm white, around 2700 to 3500 K. Cool white, between 4500 and 6500 K, is reserved for places where you read, get ready or work.

Warm white 2700-3500 K: living spaces

The vast majority of Paul Neuhaus lights in the selection shine in warm white. This is the temperature that suits living spaces and corridors, and the one used by the Puntua wall lights and the Block outdoor lights. In a corridor with no window, warm white avoids the waiting-room effect.

Cool white 4500-6500 K: which models

A few references offer both temperatures and switch between them: the Acri square wall light and the Beroa panel. Elsewhere, the temperature is set from the start, with no adjustment. To spot these models, compare the pages in the lighting selection.

Dimmer: what to check before buying

Only some models accept a dimmer, about four references out of ten in this selection. The information appears on the product page, model by model. If you want to lower the light in the evening in a bedroom, check this point before ordering, or ask the Designix customer service team.

How to match the finish and style with your interior?

The finish holds the decor more than the shape. Stay with a single family of finish per room: anthracite throughout, or silver throughout, or gold to warm up a pale interior.

Contemporary, modern, minimalist: recognising the style

Contemporary dominates, carried by metal and round or square shapes. Modern plays with softer lines and a little wood, minimalist settles for a slim disc, industrial embraces the metal cage. Browse the entire lighting range keeping material, finish and dimensions in view: those three columns decide the look.

Anthracite, silver, gold: choosing the finish

Anthracite and black blend into a dark wall, while silver and gold stand out and warm the room. Grey and beige stay neutral, easy to pair with pale wood. A designer wall light in aluminium or matt brass dresses a bare wall without weighing it down: the small 18 cm grey format suits a narrow corridor, the minimalist aluminium wall light suits a hallway.

Styles and finishes available in the selection
Style Materials Finishes Rooms where it works
Contemporary Metal Anthracite, silver, black Living room, bedroom, hallway
Modern Metal, wood Beige, silver Bedroom, corridor, staircase
Minimalist Metal Silver, gold Hallway, corridor, dressing room
Industrial Wood and metal Gold Corridor, living room, workshop feel

Which size for a low ceiling, a large space or a staircase?

First measure the clear height and the width of the available wall. Under a low ceiling, anything that hangs down stays in the way: choose a wall light or a ceiling light rather than a pendant.

Under a low ceiling: wall light or ceiling light

The wall lights in the selection range from 18 cm in diameter, in grey, matt brass or aluminium, to 25 cm, including the 20 x 20 cm square and the Alami cage at 20 x 20 x 25 cm. The Block outdoor lights measure 9 to 16 cm high. These discreet formats sit near a passage without blocking movement.

In a large space: pendant and multiple points

A pendant 120 cm long, like the Accor with five lights, structures a tall room or a stairwell. Models with several light points spread the light instead of concentrating it in one place. For a staircase wall, prefer a long panel that washes light across, or the 25 cm grey format repeated at regular intervals. The rest can be found in wall lights.

Can a Paul Neuhaus light go in a bathroom or on a terrace?

Yes, as long as the protection rating is respected. Allow for IP54 on a terrace, a facade or a bathroom, and IP20 for dry rooms only. In a shower area, an IP20 model is not suitable.

IP54: terrace, outdoors, bathroom

The Block outdoor lights come in anthracite, grey and anthracite with glass, all IP54 and warm white. Their small format works as a wall light on a facade, near a door or in a bathroom. Indoor IP20 lights are enough everywhere else, and bathroom lights can be spotted by this rating.

Up and down lighting: what it looks like on a facade

An up and down light projects two washes, one towards the ground, the other upwards: the facade stays readable without glare. The effect highlights a wall rather than lighting it plainly, which suits a hallway or a terrace. See the Block anthracite outdoor light. Its glass finish adds a discreet reflection: the Block anthracite with glass. On a grey wall, the grey version of the Block blends into the render.

How to install, care for and claim the warranty?

Care is limited to dusting with a soft cloth, without abrasive products. Every Paul Neuhaus light in the selection comes with a two-year warranty, and models with integrated LED have no bulb to replace.

Routine care, without abrasive products

Switch off the circuit before dusting. A soft cloth is enough on metal, glass and plastic. The cordless Puntua wall lights recharge and are not wired to the mains: the oval wood finish can therefore be fitted without an electrician, as long as you remember to recharge it.

Spare parts and warranty: what to do

For a spare part, a fault or advice, contact Designix customer service with the model reference. The two-year warranty covers the whole selection. Models with an E27, E14 or G9 socket take a new bulb when it dims, models with integrated LED have nothing to change.
