Ceiling light | Gildara

This modern round ceiling light with a silver frame and a cascade of amber glass spheres lets the light flow downward rather than pressing it flat against the ceiling. Round frame 60 cm in diameter, amber glass over a height of 90 cm: it takes up space like an object.

What kind of light does this modern cascading ceiling light give?

The amber glass of the spheres tints the light and diffuses it in depth rather than in a direct beam. The final result depends on the GU10 bulbs, to be chosen according to the mood, from our selection of ceiling lights.

• Translucent amber glass spheres, suspended by fine wires
• GU10 socket: the chosen bulb sets the tint
• 90 cm high: the light reaches down into the room
• Round frame 60 cm in diameter

Where should a 60 cm diameter ceiling light be installed?

With a 90 cm cascade, it needs headroom above the floor. In a bedroom, place it away from the bed so it does not dazzle.

• Surface mounting: the light hangs below the ceiling
• Intended rooms: living room and bedroom
• IP20: dry rooms only, not for bathrooms
• For other sizes, see the living room ceiling lights

How do you pair it with light or dark decor?

On a light wall, the amber of the spheres brings the warmth that is missing; against a dark background, the silver frame stands out. That is what sets this modern ceiling light apart from the Gold ceiling light with interwoven rings and LED lighting.

• Pairs with light wood, glass, brushed metal
• Leave the cascade visible, it is part of the decor
• Against a dark background, the silver frame stands out
• The range: silver-coloured ceiling lights

How do you install and care for this surface-mounted light?

Surface mounting, as with our other surface-mounted lights, attaches directly to the ceiling, with no cut-out. The step-by-step wiring is detailed in our guide to wiring a ceiling light step by step.

• Fixing to the ceiling on the existing supply
• CE certification and 2-year warranty
• Soft dry cloth on the spheres
• No abrasive on the silver finish

Does this ceiling light replace a chandelier in a small living room?

At 60 cm in diameter and 90 cm high, it takes up the volume of a classic central light. The fine wires lighten its silhouette, and a living room ceiling light of this size is still an option if there is enough headroom.

• Footprint comparable to a central light of the same diameter
• Fine wires: visual mass smaller than the diameter
• Position it away from walkways
• For a more natural feel, the Oval woven wicker ceiling light with wavy edge
