In this selection, marble is mostly a base: a round or square plinth that steadies the floor lamp and holds the light. The stand is metal, the shade in glass, linen or metal, for the living room, bedroom and office.
Which marble floor lamp should you choose for the living room?
Allow for a straight stand of around 140 to 160 cm to light a reading armchair, and an arc model up to 210 cm to carry the light far without cluttering the floor. The marble base holds the whole thing together and reflects the light; the metal stand and the shade, in glass, linen or metal, give it character. For a living space, start with the living room floor lamps in the selection: the base there is often marble, the rest varies.
Marble living room floor lamp or a simple stand lamp?
Both light the same way, the difference plays out on the floor. A marble base is heavy, often round, and does not slide: you set it down once, it stays. A classic stand lamp moves more easily from one armchair to another and often stays more understated. If the fixture changes place through the seasons, a light stand is enough. If it stays, marble brings the weight and the reflection that hold the room together.
What height for a living room floor lamp?
On straight models, you will see around 140 to 160 cm: the Notturno floor lamp measures 156 cm, the Gemino reaches 195 cm with its two globes. The bronze Orinorano stays at 140 cm, with a 25 cm base and a 16 cm shade. Check the height under the shade: that is what decides whether the light falls on a book or in your eyes.
Where to install a marble floor lamp in the home?
The whole selection is made for dry indoor use, with an IP20 rating: the living room first, then the bedroom, and the office in half the cases. Marble goes near a sofa, a reading armchair or a desk, never in a wet room. The dining room remains a marginal use, as a complement to a pendant. The same IP20 rating applies to the bedroom floor lamps and the office models.
| Room | What you look for there | Suitable configurations | To check before buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Living room | Accent light and an object that stands out | Marble base, glass or linen shade, E27 or LED socket, globe or arc shape | Stand height, base width, floor space |
| Bedroom | Soft light, not facing the bed | Black or white model, warm white, dimmer when the model offers one | Socket, IP20, stand height |
| Office | Side accent lighting | Compact model, adjustable shade, E14 or E27 socket | Base footprint, height under the shade |
| Dining room | An atmosphere to complement the pendant | Stand model, arc or globe, warm white | Distance to the wall, obstruction in the walkway |
| Wet room or WC | No possible use | No model in this selection | IP20 across the whole selection: plan for another fixture |
Is a marble floor lamp suitable for an adult bedroom?
Yes, provided you choose the right intensity. A black or white model, in warm white, lights without waking you: the Aludra floor lamp combines metal and glass, a warm white LED, Ø 22 cm and 11 W. Place it on the side opposite the bed, so the light does not fall straight on the pillow. The models designed for an adult bedroom all rely on this low, wrapping light.
Which model for a home office?
Look for a compact fixture, with an adjustable shade, to put the light on the work surface and not on the screen. Small E14 sockets are common there, especially on multi-head models, and heights stay around 140 cm. A stand lamp for the office slips in to the left of the keyboard, provided you check the base diameter.
Globe, arc or tube floor lamp: which shape should you choose?
The globe shape gives a wrapping, readable light, with a round diffuser set on a straight stand or a curved arm. The arc lights far without taking up floor space, with models featuring five adjustable arms up to 210 cm high and 150 cm deep. The tube stays discreet, the dome directs the light downwards. Truly unusual shapes exist, but they are rare in the selection.
What do we call an original floor lamp?
Originality does not rest on a single line: it comes from the contrast between a marble base and an amber or smoked glass diffuser, a curved arm, a gold ring or a flat ring. The black Arvelo is a good example, like the globe floor lamps with a round diffuser. For a more restrained look, browse the contemporary lines.
Arc floor lamp: what dimensions should you plan for?
An arc is measured in height and reach. The bronze Marmilisto goes up to 210 cm for 150 cm of depth, with five adjustable arms: you therefore need space behind the sofa and around 150 cm clear in front. Also allow for the walkway: an arc placed in a circulation area bumps into the first shoulder. Straight models rarely exceed 160 cm.
Halogen or LED floor lamp: which socket and which result?
Models with an E27 socket are the most numerous: they take a halogen or LED bulb in E27 format, to be chosen according to the mood. The rest of the selection runs on integrated LED, E14 or G9. The light tends towards warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, and a minority of models accept a dimmer. A bulb you change yourself therefore remains the most flexible solution over time.
| Bulb type | What it implies | Adjustable intensity | Where to plan for it |
|---|---|---|---|
| E27 socket | The most common in the selection, replaceable bulb, halogen or LED | Depending on the model and the bulb fitted | Living room, bedroom, office |
| Integrated LED | Warm white light, non-replaceable module | On models fitted with a dimmer | Living room, bedroom |
| E14 socket | Small socket, often on multi-head models | Depending on the bulb fitted | Living room, office |
| G9 socket | Pin socket on models with a compact design | Depending on the bulb fitted | Living room |
Halogen floor lamp with a dimmer: is that possible?
It depends on the model and the bulb. A minority of floor lamps accept a dimmer, and this is stated on the product page: the Zenvesisto is one of them, with integrated LED. If you replace a halogen bulb with an LED on an E27 socket, choose a bulb compatible with dimming, otherwise the dimmer will no longer work. The dimmable floor lamps can be spotted by this mention.
Warm white or neutral white in a living room?
Warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, gives a slightly golden light, comfortable in the evening near a sofa. Neutral white, between 3500 and 4500 K, lights more sharply and suits reading or work better: the Bianca floor lamp is the only one in the selection to lean towards neutral. Everywhere else, count on warm, more restful at the end of the day.
How do you match a marble floor lamp with the decor?
Black dominates the selection, followed by gold, white and bronze. A white or grey marble base matches a black stand as well as a gold finish, and the glass, clear, smoked or amber, brings the light. Linen softens it. In terms of style, modern and contemporary lead, ahead of rustic, minimalist and vintage. Marble serves as a neutral point: it lets the metal and glass speak.
Black, gold or bronze metal: which finish should you choose?
Black blends into an already dark interior and brings out the marble. Gold warms up a bright room and works well with a white base, as on the Marmo floor lamp and its dome shade. Bronze, more patinated, suits vintage interiors. The gold finishes and the black versions together cover most of the models.
Glass, linen or metal: which shade for a living room?
Clear glass lets the bulb show and projects a crisp light; smoked or amber glass softens it and warms the result, as on the Ambrera and its gold ring. Linen diffuses a soft, glare-free light, ideal above an armchair. For the widest choice, compare the glass floor lamps and the linen shades.
How do you set up and care for a marble floor lamp?
A marble base sets the floor lamp on the floor and makes it stable: you install it next to a sofa, an armchair or a desk, away from walkways. The whole selection is IP20, so reserved for dry rooms. Before plugging it in, choose the location and check that the cable reaches the socket without tension. Marble is dusted with a soft cloth, without abrasive products.
How do you stabilise a stand floor lamp?
Stability comes from the weight and the surface of the base: a round base of 25 to 30 cm holds better than a thin stand, especially with a curved arm. Set the fixture on a level floor, keep it away from walkways, and leave around 20 cm between the base and the wall so the cable does not pull. The metal floor lamps in the selection all follow this principle of a wide base.
How do you care for the marble base?
A soft, slightly damp cloth is enough for dust. Avoid abrasive products, acid and alcohol, which dull the stone, and wipe up liquid marks quickly so they do not leave a ring. Do not move the fixture by pulling on the shade: lift it by the stand. The rest of the care is that of an ordinary fixture, unplugged before changing a bulb.
What budget and what warranty should you plan for a marble floor lamp?
Entry-level models sit alongside more elaborate pieces: at comparable dimensions, the difference comes mainly from the material of the base, the glass and the finish. The warranty is two years on most models, five years on a smaller share, and three years on a few pieces. The current price is shown on each product page, in the collection grid.
Cheap floor lamp or exceptional piece: where does the difference lie?
At equal height and socket, an affordable model relies on a simple stand and a clear glass diffuser. A more elaborate piece adds marble over a larger surface, smoked or amber glass, a gold ring, sometimes an adjustable arm. To gauge the gaps, browse the most affordable models then the pieces with a more advanced design.
What does a floor lamp warranty cover?
It covers the fixture and its electrical components, for two years on most references, three years on a few pieces, five years on a smaller share. It does not cover bulb wear or damage related to a fall or abrasive cleaning. Keep the invoice: it is what counts in the event of a claim.

Frequently asked questions about the marble floor lamp
Can a halogen floor lamp be fitted with a dimmer?
Dimming depends on two things: the model and the bulb. A minority of floor lamps in the collection accept a dimmer, and the mention appears on the product page. If you replace a bulb with an LED on an E27 socket, take a bulb compatible with dimming, otherwise the dimmer will not work.
How do you choose a stand floor lamp?
Look first at stability: a marble base or a base of 25 to 30 cm holds the fixture better than a thin stand. Then check the height, around 140 to 160 cm on straight models, and the socket, E27 most often. Finally, measure the floor space before choosing.
Which bulb should you put in a marble living room floor lamp?
It depends on the socket. The most widespread is E27: you can fit the bulb you want, halogen or LED, favouring warm white for a living room. The other models run on integrated LED, E14 or G9, with the bulb specified by the manufacturer.
Can you install a floor lamp in a WC?
The selection is entirely IP20 rated, intended for dry indoor use: living room, bedroom, office. A WC or bathroom floor lamp requires a higher protection rating, able to withstand humidity. For these rooms, it is better to choose a fixture other than marble.
What is the difference between warm white and neutral white for a floor lamp?
Warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, gives a slightly golden light, comfortable in the evening in a living room or bedroom. Neutral white, between 3500 and 4500 K, lights whiter and suits reading or working better. The selection leans clearly towards warm white.
