The wider the luminous surface, the more the light spreads instead of falling on a single point. Above 3 m, light flush with the ceiling loses its strength before reaching the floor: a suspended chandelier brings the source closer to the table. Between chandelier and ceiling light, the criterion remains the ceiling-to-furniture distance, with at least 75 cm above a table. For a very large volume, floor lamps also complete the low lighting.

Large industrial chandelier: exposed metal and visible bulbs
