What is accent lighting?

Accent lighting directs a narrow beam toward a specific object—a painting, sculpture, or alcove—to create a sharp contrast with the room's general lighting. Its purpose is not for seeing, but for drawing the eye. An adjustable spotlight or LED strip is enough to isolate what you want to highlight.
