ENKEL 1 pendant light

ENKEL 1 by UMMO is the quintessence of contemporary minimalism: a pendant lamp that combines economy of form with great expressive power. Its name comes from the Swedish word "enkel," which means "simple," and that is exactly what this fixture is: sleek, functional, yet expressive in its statement.

Designed for modern spaces, ENKEL 1 draws inspiration from Nordic aesthetics: it focuses on the honesty of materials, the clarity of form, and details that do not overwhelm but rather enhance the interior's character. Its architectural design relies on the geometric silhouette of the metal shade, lacquered in a deep matte black hue, which gives the lamp a discreet elegance and timelessness.

Despite its simplicity, ENKEL 1 does not get lost in the space: it can serve as both a background element and a focal point in any arrangement. It is lighting that does not impose itself through its form, but instead builds the ambiance in a thoughtful, minimalist, and chic way.

Lamp components and functionality

ENKEL 1 consists of a metal shade 17 cm in diameter, powder-coated in a deep black shade with a textured finish. The entire piece rests on a minimalist metal ceiling canopy 12 cm in diameter, in the same shade of black.

The lamp is equipped with a 107.5 cm long braided black textile cable, which allows for free adjustment of the suspension height: from a short, functional overhead position to a more prominent form, suspended low above a surface. The shape of the shade has been designed to adapt to different types of light sources. A standard A60 bulb remains concealed, creating a coherent, closed volume, while a larger bulb, such as a decorative 125 mm diameter model, extends beyond its contour, completely changing the character of the lamp and adding a designer touch.

The maximum total length of the lamp is 131 cm, making it suitable for both high-ceilinged and standard rooms.

Usage and IP20 protection class

ENKEL 1 fits well into modern, minimalist, Japandi, or industrial-style arrangements. It will find its place in the kitchen, suspended above a work surface or island, as well as in a living room, bedroom, or commercial space, such as a restaurant or cafe.

Thanks to its IP20 rating, the lamp is suitable for indoor use in dry rooms.

The lamp is part of the ENKEL collection, in which you will also find a four-point fixture on a bar and a wall lamp: enough to create a coherent lighting layout throughout the interior.

In summary: simply excellent!
