FUNSUI A pendant light

The name Funsui comes from Japanese, where it means fountain or water jet: a symbol of movement, lightness, and constant flow. These are precisely the qualities found in this unique pendant lamp by UMMO. Its shape evokes a marine buoy or an organic, rounded form: round, irregular, yet perfectly balanced.

Inspired by the Memphis style of Funsui, with its penchant for color, whimsy, and bold shapes, the design stops just short of extravagance. It retains the modernist discipline, proportions, and functionality that characterize the DNA of the UMMO brand.

Luminaire components and functionality

The luminaire is crafted from three different materials: matte metal, opal glass, and natural ash wood. This carefully considered combination of textures and tones makes FUNSUI an eye-catching object without compromising the interior's coherence. The dimensions of the luminaire are 8.4 x 8.4 x 35.3 cm.

The central element of the luminaire is an opal glass shade, which softly diffuses the light and provides a gentle, pleasant glow. An integrated light source is located inside, available in two color temperatures: 3000K or 4000K.

The unit is suspended by an attractive white braided polyester cable, 124.7 cm long, ending in a discreet ceiling rose 10 cm in diameter. The total length of the luminaire is 160 cm.

Usage and IP20 protection class

FUNSUI is designed for use in dry interior spaces, where light serves not only a utilitarian but also an aesthetic function. The IP20 protection class means the luminaire is ideal for the living room, above the dining table, in the kitchen (away from humidity), in the bedroom, or in commercial spaces such as showrooms, galleries, or cafes.

The luminaire should not be installed in bathrooms or in the immediate vicinity of wet areas, where high humidity levels could affect its performance.

The Funsui pendant lamp pairs well with the floor lamp and wall lamp from the same series to create a cohesive and modern lighting set. This combination allows you to maintain visual continuity in the space, bringing together ceiling, table, and wall lighting into a harmonious composition.

Handcrafted and unique character

Every FUNSUI is assembled by hand to order, which guarantees not only high quality but also a unique character. This is not a mass-produced fixture: it is an object designed with awareness, crafted with attention to detail, proportions, and formal consistency.

FUNSUI does not just provide light: it creates a flow of light and energy in the space. We cordially invite you to purchase it.
