Wall light | Mirona

Industrial black wall light with an articulated galvanised steel arm: the shade is adjusted by hand and casts a light you can direct, from hallway to staircase. Its round backplate incorporates a toggle switch, handy when the room has no switch of its own.

What light does this industrial black wall light give?

This wall light throws light downwards and to the sides, in a cone you can aim with ease. The joint lets you target the useful spot without dazzling anyone passing by, and the result depends on the E14 bulb you choose, 40 W maximum.

• Adjustable shade carried by an articulated arm
• E14 socket, 40 W maximum
• Toggle switch on the backplate
• IP20: for dry rooms only

Where to install an industrial wall light in the home?

The manufacturer lists hallway, staircase, entrance, bedroom, living room, dressing room and toilet. An indoor staircase wall light like this one goes at shoulder height in a passage, a marker detailed in our guide on at what height to install a wall light.

On a narrow staircase, measure the 29 cm projection before drilling. For a toilet wall light, the same model works, provided you keep it clear of the door swing.

• Height 18 cm, depth 29 cm
• Wall mounting on a round backplate
• One socket per wall light
• Also suits hallway lighting

For a more contemporary look, the Modern wall light with vertical bar tube and luminous disc plays a different tune. See also the LED sphere wall light with curved arm, rounder in shape.

What decor suits an industrial style wall light?

Black and raw steel details pair with a white wall, wood or concrete, and fit just as well in a contemporary interior as in a workshop. A black metal wall light like this one is chosen for the mood it sets, not for a colour chart.

Only one model is sold, in black and silver, with no choice of colour or size. On a pale wall, this industrial black wall light blends into the decor without weighing it down, and sits easily among industrial wall lights as well as black wall lights.

• Exposed black cable, deliberately visible
• Clean with a soft, dry cloth
• No abrasive or solvent on the metal and plastic
• 2-year warranty, CE compliant
