What kind of light does this two-spot ceiling light give?

Each cylinder of this ceiling light pivots independently: the beams cross above a table or spread towards two separate areas. The faceted reflector and chrome socket concentrate the light rather than diffusing it, as in our ceiling light.

Where to install an adjustable ceiling light in the home?
