Count one light point for a seating corner, two sources above a large table: the area to be lit dictates the format, not the other way around. All the wood pendant lights in this collection are installed in dry interiors, at IP20, with an E27, E14 or GU10 base for most and an integrated LED module on the others.

Which wood pendant light for a living room should you choose?
The choice comes down to three points: the format, which depends on the surface to be lit, the base, E27 or E14 for a bulb you replace and integrated LED for a constant output, and the material, light wood, walnut or wood combined with metal. A small living room is fine with a single central point, a large volume calls for two sources.
| Format | Measured dimensions | Where to install | Models |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conical shade | Ø 14 to 40 cm, adjustable height up to 100 to 142 cm | Seating corner, round table, hallway | Ugo, Velarena, Boiselle |
| Open slats | Ø 25.5 to 30 cm, max height 331.5 to 342.5 cm | Open living room, dining room, kitchen | Cagea, Boscora |
| Concentric rings | Ø 60 cm, max height 362.5 cm | High ceilings, mezzanine, stairwell | Annella |
| Bar or LED strip | Length 114 to 150 cm, max height 210 cm | Long table, island, open-plan kitchen | Tivola, Arioso, Eolie, Callinara |
| Two or three shades | 30 to 40 cm wide, max height 100 cm | Dining table, worktop | Tessa, Linden, Clara |
| Wood and concrete cylinders | L 6 cm, D 30 cm, max height 120 cm | Hallway, reading corner, dining room | Zenlineno |
Wood pendant lights for living room: where to start?
Start with the room, not the style. A 20 m² living area with a sofa and coffee table calls for a central source lowered to seated eye level. If the room opens onto the kitchen, also look at the models designed for above a kitchen worktop, shorter and often more direct.
One light point or several shades?
A single shade works for a table of up to four settings. Beyond that, two or three points light the faces instead of leaving a shadow in the centre. The two and three shade models in the collection are designed for this, and a wood LED pendant is a good replacement for three bulbs that need changing separately.
What are the most beautiful pendants for a living room?
The models that catch the eye play on the cut of the wood: open slats, concentric rings or long light wood bars that let the light filter through. Soberer silhouettes, conical shades and wood and concrete cylinders, fade away in favour of the atmosphere. The style ranges from modern to Japanese.
Modern or Japanese style: what is the difference in a living room?
Modern works on contrast: wood and black metal, taut lines, like Cagea and its vertical slats. Japanese combines wood with glass and seeks restraint, as in Garwen, Japanese spirit. The first structures the ceiling, the second lets it breathe.
Open slats or concentric rings: what light effect?
Slats cast fine shadows all around the room and create a real pattern on the ceiling, with a Ø 30 cm on Boscora in Ø 30 cm. Concentric rings concentrate the light downwards and suit high ceilings. For a softer interior, Scandinavian wood pendants remain the safe choice.
What light for a living room: warm white, neutral white or halogen?
The LED module pendants in the collection offer two moods: warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, for a relaxed living room, and neutral white, between 3500 and 4500 K, crisper above a table. On models with an E27, E14 or GU10 base, the temperature depends on the bulb you install.
| Source | Base | Light temperature | Dimmer | Models |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Screw bulb | E27 | Depending on the bulb chosen | Not specified | Velarena, Cagea, Ugo, Tessa, Boiselle, Annella, Linden, Boscora, Clara |
| Small base | E14 | Depending on the bulb chosen | Yes | Garwen, Velnorara |
| Adjustable spotlight | GU10 | Depending on the bulb chosen | Not specified | Zenlineno |
| Integrated LED module | LED | Warm white 2700 to 3500 K or neutral white 3500 to 4500 K | Yes on Tivola and Eolie | Tivola, Arioso, Eolie, Callinara |
Halogen living room: can you still fit an E27 base?
Yes. A halogen bulb screws in without any problem on E27, E14 or GU10 models, and the collection has a majority of them. The LED module keeps the advantage of fixing the shade without changing bulbs. To go further on the subject, browse the LED pendants and their effect.
Warm white or neutral white above a table?
Warm white flatters wood and evening meals. Neutral white, around 4000 K, is preferable if the same room doubles as an office, as it is less tiring over a long reading session. Between 2700 and 3000 K in general, you get a warm atmosphere without an orange cast.
At what height should you hang a wood pendant above the table?
These pendants are height adjustable: shades go down to 100 to 142 cm, large open pieces to 331.5 to 362.5 cm, LED bars to 210 cm. The whole is placed low enough to bathe the table in light without obstructing the view of the guests.
Eating at a bare wood table: how to light it?
Bare wood reflects light upwards and leaves few reflections. A wide, lowered source is better, such as the Arioso 150 cm LED bar, or several shades rather than a single central point. Warm light makes the table more welcoming than cold white.
How to adjust the cable height according to the room?
Above a dining table, you generally leave 60 to 80 cm between the bottom of the shade and the tabletop. Under a high ceiling or a mezzanine, a design pendant for stairs can hang much lower: that is where cable heights of 331 to 362 cm really come into their own.
Wood pendant, modern living room chandelier or wall light: which to choose?
A pendant lights from a point or a line on the ceiling, a chandelier brings together several sources on one structure, like the two, three or five shade models in the collection, and a wall light completes the whole without taking up ceiling space. For a large living room, a large diameter piece holds the volume.
Large living room chandelier: what dimensions are available in the collection?
The widest is a concentric ring model of Ø 60 cm, Annella, Ø 60 cm, with an adjustable cable up to 362.5 cm. Then come the LED bars 114 to 150 cm long and the five shade sets. A modern living room chandelier does not need to be huge: it is the spacing between the sources that lights the room.
When to add a wall light rather than a second pendant?
When the ceiling is already busy or when the room lacks light on a wall. An entrance pendant placed in line with the living room, or a wall light above a sofa, lights without multiplying high points. For a predominantly black interior, look at the black wood and metal models.
How to match a wood pendant to the living room decor?
Light wood matches light walls and natural woods, a black model creates contrast against a pale background. A conical shade and fine lines accompany a modern living room decor, open wood adds relief. For paint, a light, low saturation shade remains the brightest.
Paint colour for a bright living room: which shade with wood?
Beige, greige and off-whites reflect more light than a saturated colour, and let the wood express its grain. On a pale wall, a black pendant draws a clean line, while natural wood blends into the whole. The black finish also works with a stronger background.
Ceiling spotlight layout in a living room: how to coordinate sources?
Keep spotlights for accent lighting, a wall, a bookcase, and the pendant for general light. If the room connects to the kitchen, the wood and metal models or an industrial style spirit link the two spaces, and the glass and wood pairing suits softer interiors.
How to install and maintain a wood pendant?
All the wood pendants in the collection are IP20: they are installed in dry interiors, never in a damp room. The cable is adjusted during installation to align several models. E27, E14 and GU10 bulbs are replaceable, LED modules are integrated.
Can you install a wood pendant with a dimmer?
On models designed for it, yes: the two Japanese pendants and some LED bars in the collection are compatible. Elsewhere, dimming depends on the bulb installed and the wall dimmer. Check this point before choosing, especially if you are fitting a wood pendant for a bedroom.
How to maintain a light wood pendant?
A soft, dry cloth is enough for the dust on the slats and shades. Avoid wet products on the wood and aerosols directly on the glass. A design wood pendant with slats needs slightly more regular dusting than a smooth shade. The lighting catalogue groups the other families.
Start by choosing your area to light, then filter by base: each product page gives the diameter, cable height and source. You can also compare with the wood and metal models, browse the Scandinavian versions for living rooms or see the white pendants for kitchens if your living room opens onto the kitchen.

Frequently asked questions
What are the most beautiful pendants for a living room?
Those whose wood works the light: open vertical slats, concentric rings or long light wood bars, which cast shadows and structure the ceiling. For a more sober living room, conical shades and wood and concrete cylinders go unnoticed and let the room express itself.
Which pendant should you choose for a living room?
First look at the area to light: one point is enough for a seating corner, an LED bar or several shades work above a large table. Then check the base, E27 and E14 for a replaceable bulb, integrated LED for a constant output, and the available cable height.
Modern living room chandelier: what sets it apart from a wood pendant?
The chandelier brings together several sources on one structure, like the two, three or five shade models in the collection, whereas the pendant lights from a single point or a line. The effect remains the same: only the distribution of the light points changes.
Halogen living room: should you still install any?
Nothing prevents you from using a halogen bulb on the E27, E14 or GU10 base models in the collection. An LED module model, however, offers a fixed temperature, warm white between 2700 and 3500 K or neutral white between 3500 and 4500 K, without changing bulbs.
Modern living room decor: which wood pendant to integrate?
Fine lines work best: conical shade, wood and concrete cylinder or light wood LED bar, in black for a graphic living room or natural wood for a soft interior. An open model adds relief without weighing down an already busy decor.
