Adjustable wall reading lamp with large steel arm, black lampshade Ø60 cm | Elegant Classy

Adjustable wall-mounted reading lamp with a long brushed steel articulated arm, topped with a generous black drum lampshade Ø 60 cm. This luminaire pivots and extends from 120 to 150 cm to bring light exactly where you need it: above the sofa, a reading chair, or at the head of the bed. Elegant and discreet, this is a plug-in wall lamp: it connects to a simple power outlet—no wall electrical connection required.

Light that you can orient as you wish

• Adjustable arm 120 to 150 cm — pivots on its wall plate and folds away to clear space when you are not reading
• Large drum lampshade Ø 60 cm (height 30 cm) in black voile — diffuses soft and enveloping light, without glare
• Contemporary brushed steel — a sober finish that blends with wood, linen, and both modern and Scandinavian interiors
• Plug-in connection with cord switch — simple installation, illumination at your fingertips, ideal as a living room or bedroom reading lamp

Designed as a true wall-mounted reading light, it replaces a bulky floor lamp: the offset arm places the black lampshade above your shoulder for optimal reading comfort, while dressing the wall in a graphic silhouette. As a genuine reading sconce, it illuminates the book without drowning out the whole room, perfect for creating a cozy reading nook. If you are unsure about the style, the Verda model in green velvet adds a warmer touch to the bedroom, while the cork Stang version with double switch is better suited for bedside use for two.

How to install your reading wall lamp

The plate is fixed to the wall using the 4 screws provided (anchors depend on your wall material). Once the mount is installed, clip on the arm, adjust it, and plug the cord into a nearby power outlet: no recessed wiring is necessary. For reading in bed or in a chair, position the plate approximately 130 to 150 cm from the floor so that the lampshade hangs over the seating area. Installation should always be performed with the power off.

How to maintain your wall lamp

Dust the voile lampshade with a soft brush or a dry cloth; the brushed steel arm can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, without abrasive products. Turn off the power before replacing the bulb (E27 socket). Always ensure the power is off.

Adjustable reading wall lamp: frequently asked questions

Do I need to hire an electrician to install it?

No: this wall lamp connects to a standard power outlet thanks to its cord with a switch. Only the plate is fixed to the wall (4 screws). This is the advantage of a plug-in wall reading lamp compared to a recessed hardwired sconce.

Which bulb should I choose?

The socket is an E27 type. For reading, opt for a warm white E27 bulb of about 800 lumens; a filament model beautifully highlights the black voile lampshade. Bulb not included.

What is its range and can it be adjusted?

The articulated arm extends from 120 to 150 cm from the wall and pivots laterally: you can bring the light over the sofa or bed, then fold it away to clear the path.

Does this wall lamp work with a plug?

Yes, it is a plug-in wall lamp: the cord connects directly to a mains socket, without the need for an electrician or cutting into the wall. You can therefore move or remove it easily, unlike a hardwired sconce.

Is it suitable for above a sofa or headboard?

Yes, that is its ideal use: its large Ø 60 cm lampshade and offset arm make it a perfect wall lamp for reading without a floor lamp. For an equivalent natural look, the Banwa in braided bamboo Ø 60 cm offers the same format in a more organic material.
