Industrial black metal pendant light, Ø 42 cm glass dome, kitchen | Bikkel

Imagine an industrial black metal pendant light over your kitchen island or table: a matte black steel dome, brushed steel accents, and a large glass diffuser that softens the light. The Bikkel 7586ZW is the definition of authentic workshop lighting—robust yet warm.

An industrial pendant light that structures the room

With its Ø 42 cm dome shade, this industrial pendant dresses up a space without overpowering it. The matte black metal and brushed steel finish provide a factory feel, while the glass diffuser clipped under the shade directs soft light downwards, making it ideal over a countertop, kitchen table, or in a reading nook. Hung alone, it serves as a statement piece; aligned in a row of two or three, it creates a bold line of light.

• Matte black metal dome shade Ø 42 cm, height 46 cm, with glass diffuser
• Height adjustable from 55 to 150 cm thanks to the 90 cm steel chain
• E27 base up to 60 W, compatible with external dimmers and dimmable bulbs
• Brushed steel accents, side adjustment brackets, ceiling rose Ø 12 cm
• Delivered pre-assembled, 2-year warranty — bulb not included

Installation

The light fixture is delivered pre-assembled: simply attach the ceiling rose to the mount, connect the cable to the mains (220-230 V, Class I), and adjust the chain between 55 and 150 cm depending on your ceiling height. It takes about twenty minutes. For the kitchen or dining room, aim for approximately 75 to 90 cm above the surface for comfortable, glare-free lighting.

Maintenance

The matte black metal can be cleaned with a simple soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive products that could mark the matte finish. The glass diffuser can be dusted with a slightly damp cloth while the lamp is turned off and cold.

Which bulb should I choose for this black metal pendant light?

An E27 base bulb up to 60 W. For a warm ambiance, opt for a warm white LED (2700-3000 K); to adjust the intensity, choose a dimmable bulb paired with an external dimmer switch.

At what height should an industrial pendant be installed?

Above a table or island, leave about 75 to 90 cm between the surface and the bottom of the shade. The chain is adjustable from 55 to 150 cm, covering most ceiling heights.

Is this pendant suitable for the kitchen and living room?

Yes. Its workshop look and downward-directed light make it an ideal industrial kitchen pendant over an island, but it also fits perfectly in a living room, entryway, or dining room for an assertive retro decor.
