The PLAAT collection and poet and writer Sylvia Plath are undoubtedly linked by a glass lampshade :) The white opaline glass sphere, characteristic of UMMO lamps, is designed to reveal the poetry of light. The metal tubes are intersected by a thin disc which, like an umbrella, tops a large lampshade with an elegant cap. It is this metal disc that distinguishes the PLAAT ceiling lights, available in two colors: black and white. UMMO luminaires are hand-assembled from high-quality components in our Gdynia workshop. Through light, we stand by Mr. PLAAT :)
The PLAAT Premium series features the base models in brass. The brass elements are polished by us and specially protected against discoloration. The PLAAT pendant lights are available with a black or white cap and disc. We provide gloves with the brass lamps to avoid any chemical reaction during assembly. As you can see, we are noble with light :)
