arc floor lamp for living room, white pleated voile lampshade Ø 60 cm | Velsa

The Velsa arc floor lamp traces an elegant black curve above the sofa and tops its end with a generous pleated white voile lampshade measuring 60 cm in diameter. Its diffused, soft light envelops the reading corner in a gentle atmosphere without glare. Positioned behind an armchair or sofa, this designer arc floor lamp provides accent lighting where no table can accommodate a lamp.

• Pleated white voile lampshade Ø 60 cm: flattened lantern shape that diffuses a warm, uniform light, ideal for ambient lighting.
• Adjustable black metal arc: reach from 160 to 240 cm and height from 210 to 240 cm, to position the light precisely over the sofa or table.
• Weighted round base Ø 45 cm: stable black metal base that balances the wide reach of the arc.
• Foot dimmer: adjust the intensity with a touch of your foot, from dimmed to full brightness, without bending down.

Installing the arc floor lamp

Assembly of the living room arc floor lamp is quick: attach the rod to the weighted round base, fit the sections of the arc together, then clip the voile lampshade onto the E27 socket. Then adjust the reach (160-240 cm) and the height (210-240 cm) to let the light fall directly over the sofa. Screw in an E27 bulb (60 W max), plug into a 230 V outlet, and use the foot dimmer to adjust the ambiance. Bulb not included.

Maintenance

Dust the pleated voile lampshade using a feather duster or the soft brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner, following the folds of the fabric. The black metal arc and base can be wiped with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, while the lamp is turned off and cooled. Avoid abrasive products on the light-colored voile.

Is this arc floor lamp suitable for a large sofa?

Yes, that is precisely its purpose. With an adjustable reach of 160 to 240 cm, the Velsa arc floor lamp allows its lampshade to extend over a corner sofa or a large sofa to create a perfectly lit reading corner without cluttering the floor space by the seating area.

Which bulb should I choose for this floor lamp?

Opt for an E27 bulb of 60 W maximum, in warm white LED (2700-3000 K) for an enveloping ambient light. A dimmable bulb is not necessary: the integrated foot dimmer already allows you to modulate the intensity of the light.

Is the height of the floor lamp adjustable?

Yes. The total height can be adjusted from 210 to 240 cm and the reach of the arc from 160 to 240 cm thanks to the telescopic sections. This allows you to adapt the arc floor lamp to the depth of your sofa and the height of your ceiling.

Does this black arc floor lamp go well with light-colored decor?

Yes. The contrast between the black metal arc and the white lampshade floor lamp in pleated voile works in most interiors: this black arc floor lamp adds structure to a light-colored living room without making it look heavy, while the roundness of the voile softens the whole look.

Velsa is part of our family of arc floor lamps designed to light up the sofa without needing an end table. If you are looking for an all-black version, the Jira, with integrated LED lighting, traces the same curve with a more contemporary light.

For a light-colored living room, the Gyna model in a white finish captures the spirit of Velsa's pleated voile, while the Kira, designed for the dining room, extends the arc over the table.
