A gold LED ceiling light attaches to the ceiling on its base plate, rated IP20, for dry rooms in the home. The format is chosen according to the room: 38 to 60 cm in diameter for a living room, 22 to 40 cm for a bedroom or hallway, several adjustable spots for a kitchen or a long hallway.

Which gold LED ceiling light for which room?
The bedroom and living room top the list of rooms concerned, ahead of the hallway, kitchen and dining room. For a living room, large round formats or ceiling lights with several light points are preferred; for a bedroom or hallway, more compact formats are more than enough.
LED ceiling light for living room: which format on the ceiling?
In a living space, a large 60 cm round gives continuous light, with no dark zone in the centre. The round ceiling light with white diffuser and the Annevia model, both Ø 60 cm, cover an entire room with a single point. A ceiling light with several frames such as Aldous, at 78 cm by 67 cm, fills a large rectangular ceiling. For a narrower room, a 38 to 40 cm ring is enough, such as the gold LED light ring.
LED ceiling lights for bedroom: staying compact
Above a bed, you want soft light and a discreet fixture. A 22 cm round with a diffuser, such as the gold ceiling light with luminous diffuser, stays proportionate to a 10 to 14 m² bedroom. Beyond 40 cm, the fixture overwhelms the room. Find the suitable formats in our selection of bedroom ceiling lights.
Kitchen and hallway: which light on the ceiling?
In a hallway, a ceiling light with adjustable spots lights the doors and the passage rather than the centre. The ceiling light with four cylindrical spots in GU10 fitting lets you aim each beam. In a kitchen, the same spots target the worktop. Also see the kitchen LED ceiling lights and the hallway ceiling lights.
| Room | Frequency in the selection | Common format | Light temperature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Living room | Among the most frequent rooms | Round 38 to 60 cm, ring or several arms | Warm white when specified |
| Bedroom | Among the most frequent rooms | Compact to medium format, Ø 22 to 40 cm | Warm white when specified |
| Hallway | Frequent | Small format, adjustable spot | Warm white when specified |
| Kitchen | Frequent | Several adjustable spots | Warm white when specified |
| Dining room | Frequent | Ring, cage or several points | Warm white when specified |
What light does a gold LED ceiling light give?
The entire selection runs on LED, with an IP20 protection rating, so for dry rooms in the home. When the colour temperature is stated, it is warm white from 2700 to 3500 K that appears most often: a settled light that brings out the gold without hardening the materials.
Warm white, neutral white, cool white: what changes in the room
Warm white (around 2700 to 3500 K) gives an amber light, comfortable in the evening, and flatters gold finishes. Neutral white (roughly 3500 to 4500 K) stays more direct, useful on a worktop. Cool white (4500 to 6500 K) lights sharply but cools a living room or bedroom. This selection clearly leans warm, with a few more neutral or cooler models depending on the reference.
IP20: in which rooms can this ceiling light be installed?
IP20 means the fixture is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm and nothing else: neither splashes nor moisture. It is therefore fitted in a living room, bedroom, hallway, kitchen or office, never in an exposed wet room. For a bathroom, look instead at the bathroom ceiling lights, chosen according to their actual protection rating.
Powerful LED ceiling light: how to light a large room?
For a large room, diffusion matters more than raw power: a large format with a diffuser spreads light better than a small very powerful spot. The wattages recorded range from 6 W to 90 W depending on the model, and a ceiling light with several adjustable light points covers a wide area.
Reading the wattage without getting it wrong
A high wattage says nothing about distribution: 90 W concentrated at one point dazzles, whereas the same wattage spread over a large diffuser lights evenly. Compare the diameter or length of the fixture first, then the wattage. To go further, browse our lighting universe and the large-format modern LED ceiling lights.
Large diffuser or adjustable spots?
A large diffuser, in acrylic or behind an openwork shade, sends homogeneous light throughout the room: it is the choice for a living room. Adjustable spots, in GU10 fitting, direct each beam towards a wall, a bookcase or a worktop. The gold adjustable cylindrical spot combines well with a central ceiling light.
How many light points for a living space?
One central point is enough up to about 20 m² if the format is large. Beyond that, two or three peripheral points are added: a wall light near the sofa, a spot aimed at a picture, a lamp on a piece of furniture. Multi-arm models, such as the living room LED ceiling lights, let you aim each source without multiplying fixtures.
LED ceiling light, gold chandelier or LED wall light: how to choose?
The LED ceiling light stays flat against the ceiling and lights the whole room evenly; the gold chandelier hangs down into the room with arms and pendants, which suits high ceilings and large tables. The LED wall light completes the set where light is lacking.
LED chandelier or ceiling light: which light on the ceiling?
The choice mainly comes down to ceiling height. In a standard room, a fixture that hangs down several tens of centimetres can get in the way and block the view. A ceiling light frees up the space and lights widely. The chandelier takes its place under a higher ceiling, above a table or in an entrance. Both families can be found in our lighting catalogue.
Gold chandelier: in which rooms it comes into its own
A gold chandelier is justified above a dining table, in a tall hall or a stairwell. It structures the eye and becomes a decorative focal point. Its light, more directed downwards, does not always replace general lighting: plan a second point for dark areas. Elaborate models can be found in the designer LED ceiling lights.
LED wall light: the useful complement
An LED wall light illuminates a headboard, a hallway, an entrance or a desk corner without taking up ceiling space. It is chosen in the same metal or the same gold to stay consistent with the ceiling light. In a small space, a sufficiently large wall light can even take the main role. Complete with the office LED ceiling lights.
Which materials and shapes of gold ceiling light to choose?
Metal dominates by far, often combined with aluminium for the fineness of the lines, with acrylic for the diffuser or with plastic on lightweight models. In terms of shape, round leads, followed by the tube, the leaf, the oval and the metal cage.
Metal, aluminium, acrylic: what effect on the ceiling?
Metal carries an assertive gold finish and marked lines: it is dusted with a soft cloth, without abrasive products. Aluminium lightens the silhouette and lends itself to adjustable arms. Acrylic, used as a diffuser, softens the light and is wiped with a slightly damp microfibre cloth. The finest models can be found in the gold metal ceiling lights.
Round, tube, leaf, cage: the shape changes the mood
Round gives a simple, continuous reading, ideal in a bedroom and living room. The tube brings a graphic effect on large surfaces, but shows fingerprints. The leaf creates a pattern and soft shadows, to be dusted between the blades. The metal cage, rarer, leans towards an industrial style, such as the industrial style ceiling lights. The gold ceiling light with globe plays a rounder, more compact card.
How to install and maintain an LED ceiling light on the ceiling?
Installation is done directly on the ceiling, on the base plate provided, with no height to adjust as on a pendant. Maintenance is limited to dusting the fixture and its diffuser: on models with integrated LEDs, no bulb needs changing.
Ceiling mounting: what to check before drilling
Switch off the power at the circuit breaker, locate the wire exit point and offer up the base plate before drilling. Check that the fixing holds in the support (concrete, plasterboard, slab) and that the weight of the fixture remains compatible. Allow space around the fixture for air circulation on powerful models and for access to the connection.
Cleaning a gold ceiling light without damaging the finish
A soft cloth is enough for everyday dust. On gold metal, avoid abrasive products, alcohol and scouring pads, which scratch the finish. The acrylic diffuser is cleaned with a slightly damp microfibre cloth, then dried to avoid marks. Openwork or leaf models require more regular dusting, without dismantling.
Integrated LED or replaceable bulb: maintenance over time
When the LED is integrated, the source cannot be replaced: the fixture works until the end of its life, with no bulb to buy. With a GU10 or E14 fitting, the bulb is changed when it weakens, which also leaves you free to change the colour temperature. In a living space, the replaceable solution often proves more flexible.
How to match the gold colour with the rest of the room?
Here the gold is combined either with black or with white. The gold and black duo marks volumes and lines, particularly in industrial or contemporary style; gold and white softens the room and blends into a modern or minimalist interior.
Gold and black or gold and white: which balance?
Combined with black, the gold stands out strongly and draws sharp contrasts, which suits open kitchens and contemporary interiors. See the gold and black models. With white, the light appears softer and the fixture becomes discreet; it is the choice for bedrooms and light interiors, such as the modern white ceiling lights.
Dimmer: when it changes how a room is used
Only part of the selection accepts a dimmer. In a living room or bedroom, it lets you move from direct light during the day to a low mood in the evening, without adding a lamp. Check this point on the model page before ordering, then browse the dimmable LED ceiling lights and the modern ceiling lights for living room.
How to read a gold LED ceiling light page before ordering?
Three pieces of information decide the right choice: the fitting, which indicates whether the bulb is replaceable, the protection rating, which says in which rooms the fixture can be installed, and the dimensions, to be compared with the ceiling area. The warranty completes the picture.
Integrated LED, GU10, E14, E27, G4: what it implies
Integrated LED dominates the selection: nothing to change, a light diffused by the fixture. GU10, common, equips adjustable spots. E14, with a small screw fitting, is found on multi-arm models. The large E27 fitting is in the minority, and G4, very small, remains rare on compact fixtures.
Dimensions and diameter: measure before choosing
Measure the available ceiling and note the diameter or length of the fixture. A 60 cm round suits from about 20 m²; below that, a Ø 22 to 40 cm holds the proportion better. On a rectangular or multi-frame model, also check the depth to avoid it hanging too low in the passage.

Frequently asked questions
LED ceiling light: what exactly is it?
An LED ceiling light is a fixture attached to the ceiling whose light source is an LED, either integrated into the fixture or provided by a bulb with a fitting. The entire selection presented here runs on LED, with an IP20 protection rating, for dry rooms in the home.
Which LED ceiling light to choose for a living room?
The living room is one of the rooms most concerned by this selection, along with the bedroom. It mainly features round formats from 38 to 60 cm, LED rings and ceiling lights with several adjustable arms. A model accepting a dimmer lets you lower the intensity in the evening without adding a lamp.
How to recognise a modern LED ceiling light?
The modern LED ceiling light is recognised by its geometric lines, its rings, its tubes or its adjustable arms, and by a sober colour lifted by a gold finish. The selection is dominated by modern style, followed by minimalist and contemporary. The designer LED ceiling lights gather the most elaborate shapes.
LED ceiling light or gold chandelier: what to choose?
The gold chandelier hangs down into the room with its arms and pendants, while the LED ceiling light stays flat against the ceiling. In a standard-height room, the ceiling light frees up the view and lights evenly; the chandelier takes its place under a higher ceiling, above a large table.
How to organise LED ceiling lighting in a room?
The main point is placed in the centre of the room, then secondary points are added where you read, cook or move around. A ceiling light with adjustable spots or several arms lets you aim light towards a worktop rather than lighting everything in the centre. The hallway ceiling lights follow the same logic on circulation areas.
