Black smoked glass drop pendant light, kitchen and dining room | Glimsy

Looking for a teardrop pendant light that catches the eye without cluttering the room? This blown smoked glass fixture in the shape of a water droplet diffuses a warm, soft light, filtered through its translucent black tint. Compact (Ø 22 cm), it fits perfectly over a kitchen island, workspace, or dining area to create a lighting focal point that is both discreet and refined.

• Blown teardrop smoked glass (Ø 22 cm, height 30 cm): a dynamic material that softens the light and creates subtle reflections.
• Height adjustable from 45 to 190 cm upon installation: adapts to your ceiling height and the desired clearance above your table.
• Integrated 6 W LED module (580 lumens, warm white 2700 K): directional and warm illumination, without glare.
• Matte black fixture and cable: a graphic cord that fades into the background, letting the glass teardrop take center stage.

The smoked tint of the glass plays with the light: when off, the black teardrop pendant remains a sober decorative piece; when on, it reveals the luminous core through the glass. A contemporary aesthetic that suits both modern kitchens and cozy dining rooms alike. 2-year warranty.

How to install this teardrop pendant light?

The ceiling plate attaches to an existing light outlet, just like a standard pendant. The cable is adjustable from 45 to 190 cm during installation: adjust the height to leave approximately 70 to 80 cm between the bottom of the teardrop and the surface of your table or island. Connection is made to the 220-230 V mains supply; if in doubt, consult an electrician. Always turn off the power before installation.

Cleaning the smoked glass

The smoked glass can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth, then dried immediately to avoid streaks. Avoid abrasive products that could scratch the surface. The matte black fixture and cable can simply be dusted with a dry cloth. Turn off the power before any maintenance, and wait for the bulb to cool.

Is this teardrop pendant suitable for a kitchen island?

Yes, its compact format and directional lighting make it an ideal black smoked glass pendant for use over an island, workspace, or bar. For a large island, align two or three side-by-side. Explore our kitchen pendant lights to compare sizes.

Does the smoked glass provide enough light?

Yes: the 6 W LED module delivers 580 lumens in warm white (2700 K), which is sufficient to light a dining area or create accent lighting. The smoked tint softens the light for a gentle glow rather than harsh illumination. For more powerful general lighting, pair it with other light sources.

Is the bulb included?

Yes, the integrated LED module is included with the pendant: it is replaceable and requires no additional bulb purchase. Simply plug in and light up.
