LED living room lights include the most suitable options for large spaces. For a more assertive style, designer living room lights feature chandeliers and pendants in premium finishes. The designer kitchen lighting collection offers adjustable island pendants for open workspaces. For the dining room, our dining room pendants and ceiling lights cover linear formats and structured chandeliers.

Powerful LED wall light: which model should you choose?

A powerful LED wall light provides widespread illumination without the need for multiple light sources. Our articulating arm or linear models reach high power levels, ideal for placement above a sofa or headboard. Choose warm white to set the mood and cool white for comfortable reading.

The Ziro wall light, with an articulating metal and brass arm (GU10 base, 8 W), is dimmer-compatible and suitable for both living rooms and offices, available in gold, black, or red finishes. The Gravity linear wall light comes in lengths from 60 to 120 cm in black or gold finishes (8 to 20 W depending on length): its minimalist metal and aluminum design fits perfectly in a large living room or hallway. The Éclat slim wall light (10 x 80 cm, brass and glass, E27 base) adopts a minimalist contemporary style for a bedroom or reading nook.

The GU10 base makes it easy to replace an LED bulb without changing the entire fixture. Wall lights compatible with a dimmer allow you to switch from dim bedroom LED lighting to precise illumination for reading, depending on the time of day. For damp areas, our designer bathroom wall lights follow the same style criteria but require an IP rating suitable for the installation zone.

How to choose an LED ceiling light?

Select the size of your LED ceiling light based on the surface area: a large linear model for a living or dining room, a small cube ceiling light for a hallway or entryway. Check the power, light temperature, and dimmer compatibility to adjust the intensity as needed.

The Lumière Zénith ceiling light (100 x 15 cm or 120 x 15 cm, integrated LED, 16 W) includes a dimmer and offers warm, neutral, or cool white light in black, gold, or white finishes. Its linear shape is suitable for medium to large living or dining rooms. Zephyr Sky (12 cm or 24 cm, metal and aluminum) is a compact surface-mounted spotlight for hallways or entryways, available in gold or black.

For a large space, a 24 to 40 W LED panel or linear ceiling light generally covers an area of 15 to 25 m2. For more targeted zones, recessed lights complement main ceiling lighting by adding directional points. An additional pendant light adds depth: our pendant lights come in every finish and format.

Pendant, chandelier, or wall light: which designer light for the living room?

In a living room, a glass globe pendant or a designer chandelier dresses up the space above a coffee table or dining area. A wall light completes the main lighting. An LED chandelier provides decorative light, while a pendant offers a more focused beam depending on the ceiling height.

The Sphère Céleste pendant (15 x 25 cm, brass, glass, and metal, E27 base, 16 W) is available in amber, smoked, transparent, or black. It covers all three light temperatures and is suitable for living rooms, kitchens, or dining rooms. The Seni chandelier (60 x 110 cm, 8 glass globes, E14 base, 36 W) in black and gold metal and brass structures the height of a living room or dining room with a soft, warm white light.

In a room with standard height (approx. 2.50 m), a pendant is generally placed 150–180 cm from the floor above a table to avoid glare. An imposing chandelier is better suited for rooms larger than 20 m2. Our modern models for the living room include oval and tubular shapes. Luxury decor items and lights offer solid brass or blown glass pieces for high-end interiors. For a selection focused on black pendants, our black pendant lights gather the most sleek and refined options. Our original lights with unique designs cover globe, tube, or oval shapes for a bold interior.

Warm, neutral, or cool white: which light temperature to choose?

Warm white (2700-3500K) creates a cozy atmosphere for living rooms and bedrooms. Neutral white (3500-4500K) is suitable for kitchens and transit areas. Cool white (4500-6500K) provides precise lighting for workspaces or offices. Many models combine these three tones.

LED light temperature and usage
Temperature Kelvin Range Ambiance Ideal Room
Warm white 2700-3500K Cozy, dim Living room, bedroom
Neutral white 3500-4500K Natural, balanced Kitchen, hallway
Cool white 4500-6500K Vivid, precise Workspace, office

In our collection, the majority of models offer warm white (2700-3500K), a large portion offer cool white (4500-6500K), and a selection offers neutral white (3500-4500K). Several lights combine all three ranges, which avoids the need to change LED bulbs depending on the time of day. A warm white LED bulb in the evening helps preserve the sleep cycle in a bedroom; during the day, cool white supports concentration in an office space. LED strips follow the same Kelvin ranges and allow you to match indirect lighting with a main light fixture.

What are the disadvantages of LED lamps?

LED lamps heat up very little and last a long time, but they have a few limitations: a higher initial investment compared to designer halogen, light that is sometimes directional, and non-systematic dimmer compatibility. At Designix, one-third of our models accept a dimmer, and the entire selection is guaranteed for two years.

Unlike designer halogen, which diffuses at 360 degrees, an LED bulb often concentrates light in a narrower angle. This directional nature highlights a workspace or painting but can leave dark areas in a large living room if no supplemental lighting is used. Using multiple low-power sources remains more effective than a single high-power fixture. A designer floor lamp complementing a main pendant often solves this issue in a living room. The two-year warranty on the entire selection protects your investment over time, regardless of the power chosen.

Several models, such as the Rayon d'Or Light, are also suitable for outdoor installation depending on conditions.

Frequently asked questions about designer LED lighting

What are the 10 best designer lamps?

The best designer lamps combine an LED source, noble materials, and a strong shape. At Designix, these include the Sphère Céleste pendant, the Seni chandelier, the Lumière Zénith ceiling light, and the Gravity or Éclat wall lights: contemporary pieces in metal, brass, and glass, available in gold, black, and white.

What are the disadvantages of LED lamps?

LED lamps have a higher purchase cost than designer halogen, sometimes directional light, and non-systematic dimmer compatibility. On the other hand, they heat up very little and consume less power. At Designix, one-third of our models accept a dimmer, and the selection is guaranteed for two years.

LED ceiling light: how to choose?

An LED ceiling light is installed on the ceiling for a room's main lighting. Choose a large linear model for the living or dining room, or a small cube ceiling light for the hallway. Check the power, light temperature, and dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

Powerful LED wall light: what to choose?

A powerful LED wall light provides widespread lighting for a wall without requiring multiple fixtures. Our articulating arm or linear models are suitable above a sofa or headboard. Opt for warm white for ambiance, cool white for reading, and a dimmer to modulate.

LED chandelier: which model for the living room?

An LED chandelier provides decorative lighting and structures the volume above a table or dining area. The Seni chandelier, made of metal, glass, and brass, features multiple light globes in black and gold: an ideal choice as a centerpiece for a living or dining room.

Italian designer bedside lamp

The collection favors contemporary designer style through pendants, ceiling lights, and wall lights rather than table lamps. For a bedroom, a slim wall light placed near the bed advantageously replaces a bedside lamp and clears your nightstand with a clean, designer aesthetic.
