To choose a pendant light, start with the room: living rooms and dining rooms make up the majority of our selection, followed by the kitchen and bedroom. Then, adapt the diameter to the surface area, the height to the ceiling, and the style—whether modern, contemporary, or industrial—to your existing decor.

Our collection covers both large open-plan living areas and more intimate spaces, with many models suitable for the living room, dining room, and kitchen. For hallways, a few compact models like the Cara or Xali are well-suited to these narrow transitional spaces. Generally speaking, a diameter of 40 to 50 cm is suitable for a room under 20 m², while a large volume calls for an XXL model or a multi-globe composition.

Kitchen pendant light: which model for above an island?

Above a kitchen island, hang the light about 75 cm from the countertop to illuminate without glare. Our modern island pendant lights in black or gold metal, with G9 or E27 bases, are available in globe or bar versions, with dimmers on some models to adjust the mood throughout the day.

The Éclat Moderne island pendant light in metal and glass, with a G9 base, accepts a dimmer and comes in black, gold, and white: it is just as suitable for a contemporary kitchen as an industrial interior. Its globe shape adapts to both standard-sized islands and large open kitchens.

XXL high-ceiling pendant light: lighting a large height

For a high ceiling, a stairwell, or a large living room, choose a pendant light with an adjustable cable height. Many of our smoked glass globe models can be adjusted from 60 cm to over three meters, and our XXL metal versions fill large volumes without overwhelming them.

Bollia smoked globes can be installed in a stairwell or a large double-height living room. The 3-globe Bollique and the Bollique 3800 stairwell version are suitable for high ceilings. The Glimsy with a cluster of five globes is ideal for cathedral ceilings or living room voids.

Modern, designer, and original pendant light: which styles?

Our selection is 90% modern and contemporary, with industrial, Nordic, and original touches. For a designer interior, opt for glass globes, gold LED rings, or sculptural branch-shaped or UFO-shaped lights. Original models offer a focal point above a table or island.

The 8-globe Seni Globe chandelier in glass and brass, available in black, gold, and white, illustrates the contemporary stance of our collection. The Lueur Sylvestre in gold-colored branches with G4 bases is just as suitable for a jungle-style living room as it is for an adult bedroom. The Zénith, shaped like a UFO and available in six colors including blue, green, and pink, represents the 10% of original models.

For modern-style models with clean lines, sphere (43% of the collection), ring, and tube shapes dominate. What materials and colors for a pendant light?

Metal dominates our collection of pendant lights, present in 93% of models, often paired with glass for globes and diffusers. In terms of shades, black leads, followed by gold and white. These finishes combine with iron, aluminum, or acrylic for a modern or industrial result.

Metal pendant lights ensure durability and versatility: metal structures go well with almost any interior, from industrial lofts to Haussmann-style apartments. Smoked glass globes soften the light and create volume without weighing down the space. Regarding color, the black finish dominates the selection. Gold touches, white, gray, and beige round out the palette.

Iron (37%), aluminum (27%), and acrylic (27%) complete the available materials. For spherical shapes, the globe pendant light collection gathers our options in smoked glass globes and lacquered metal.

Which base, bulb, and light temperature?

Our pendant lights mainly use E27, G9, E14, or G4 bases, and 73% incorporate LED technology. The most common temperature is warm white, between 2700 and 3500 K, ideal for the living room; cool white is better suited for the kitchen. A dimmer is included in about one in five models.

The E27 is the most universal base, compatible with the majority of LED bulbs on the market. The G9 is suitable for compact shapes and island lights like the Éclat Moderne. Models with integrated LEDs work without the need to replace bulbs. For the living room or bedroom, warm white at 2700-3500 K creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. IP44 bathroom pendant light: is it possible?

All our pendant lights are IP20 rated: they are suitable for dry rooms such as the living room, kitchen, or bedroom, but not for areas exposed to water. A bathroom requires a minimum IP44 rating in areas near the shower or bathtub; our current models are therefore not suitable for these zones.

At what height should a pendant light be installed?

Above a dining table, hang the fixture about 75 cm from the tabletop; in a transitional area, leave at least two meters beneath the lampshade. Many of our models offer an adjustable cable height, which simplifies adjustments based on ceiling height and the room's use.

The Bollique (adjustable from 60 to 200 cm), Ringlux (50 to 175 cm), Maze (30 to 160 cm), and Zelena Touch (82 to 117 cm) allow for precise adjustment. For living room voids and stairwells, the Bollique 3800 reaches 350 cm and the Glimsy 390 cm. The long branch pendant light Lueur Sylvestre can be cabled to the desired height.
