KOBAN B is a minimalist pendant lamp with a distinctive yet subtle shape. Its character relies on a single spherical opal white glass shade, whose 20 cm diameter makes it the focal point of the composition. The matte glass softly diffuses the light, providing a gentle and homogeneous glow to the interior. The simple structure and metal ceiling canopy emphasize the luminaire's functional and clean character, which integrates perfectly into modern, Japandi, or loft aesthetics.
Although KOBAN B stands out for its characteristic shape, it does not dominate the arrangement: on the contrary, it complements it harmoniously, giving the interior a calm rhythm and luminous lightness.
Imagine an indoor elliptical cycling track, on which glass spheres zip around instead of bicycles. Now imagine two small child's hands, intrigued by all this commotion on the track. Suddenly a sphere disappears, another stops, another appears, but in a different size. Lots of fun, laughter, ideas, and possibilities. It is this children's game that inspired us to create the Koban pendant lamp series.
In the design of KOBAN B, this youthful energy has been translated into the language of light: the metal structure and glass are given a new narrative here, full of order on one hand, and bold in its simplicity on the other. The pendant attracts the eye with its elliptical composition and spherical shade, bringing not only light to the space, but also a touch of inner freedom. For when decorating a living space, it is worth listening to the voice of your inner child.
Pendant lamp components and features
The pendant lamp is equipped with a 100 cm long black polyester braided cable and a round metal ceiling canopy. Its total height is 150 cm, and the luminaire itself measures 40 cm long and 28 cm wide. The shade is made of white glass with a diameter of 20 cm. Inside is a socket for an E27 light source (LED, 15 W maximum), which allows the user to choose the intensity and color temperature according to the needs of the space.
Use and IP20 / IP44 protection class
KOBAN B is available in two protection versions: standard IP20, intended for dry and sheltered spaces, and IP44, which also allows installation in areas with higher humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. The pendant is thus suitable both for domestic living spaces (above a table, a countertop, or in a bedroom) and for more demanding lighting conditions.
KOBAN B is part of the extensive Koban collection, which also includes other lighting variants: the KOBAN D and E wall lamps, as well as two other pendants, KOBAN A and KOBAN C, and a KOBAN ST table model. Together, they form a complete and aesthetically coherent set, which allows for lighting the entire interior in a uniform style, from functional light points to decorative and atmospheric accents.
