FLUMINA W, a wall lamp from the FLUMINA collection, takes its name from the Latin word "flumina," meaning flow (in the sense of water currents): this is exactly how it functions, diffusing light into the space with softness, calmness, and precision. Its shape is a nod to the geometric modernism of the International Style and Bauhaus aesthetics, where function goes hand in hand with form and every detail finds its justification.
The minimalist and vertical composition is based on the juxtaposition of ribbed glass and natural wood, which together build rhythm and contrast: the transparent and delicately textured surface of the glass subtly filters the light, while the warmth of the wood brings balance and calm to the interior.
Luminaire components and functionality
The main component of the wall lamp is a lampshade made of vertically ribbed glass, which adds texture to the light and softens its spread along the wall. It is complemented by a wooden element: not only functional but also aesthetic, providing a counterpoint to the cold glass. The dimensions of the luminaire are 11.3 x 20.5 x 19 cm.
The luminaire is equipped with an interchangeable E14 LED light source (up to 9W), which allows the user to choose the color and intensity of the light according to the use of the space: from dim lighting in the evening in the bedroom to soft illumination of a passageway in a hallway or entryway.
Usage and IP20 protection class
FLUMINA W is designed for use inside dry spaces such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and offices. Its IP20 protection class means it is not suitable for high-humidity conditions: it should therefore not be installed in bathrooms, in kitchens near water sources, or outdoors. In residential and commercial spaces with a standard and stable microclimate, it will be perfect as an accent light source to create ambiance.
The Flumina wall lamp goes well with a floor lamp and a pendant lamp from the same series to create a coherent and modern lighting ensemble. Such a combination makes it possible to maintain visual continuity in the space, bringing together ceiling, table, and wall lighting into a harmonious composition.
